"I had a great experience at The Hind's Head last night. Really nice and cosy venue and still can't believe we spent a good 5 hours there. We arrived quite early and the staff was very welcoming and we got the option to sit at our table or the bar (as we were early). Once we sat down staff members gave us some time to settle and then the drinks menu was handed over to give us some time to decide. They were very knowledgeable when it came to questions on the menu and also gave us alternative recommendations and suggestions. Lovely food options on the menu and really enjoyed each course. This is of course personal opinion, I felt the lamb I ordered had a bit too much salt. My favourite was the dessert, really tasty, interesting flavours and combination of ingredients. Once again I want to praise the staff that they are friendly, efficient, professional and made it a great evening and a wonderful experience."

Great food! Fresh and flavoursome, as you would expect from the Hind's Head/Fat Duck team. Also, great service. We did bust our budget with our wine choice, but there is a range of options available

divided a fantastic meal with my other half. service was great, atmosphere was very relaxed. good selection of beer on hahn. eating was amazing how to expect. high point for each of us were the guinea fowl and the chocolate red wine slush with millionaire shortbread (the steak with bone brand sauce was a close contender though).

we had lunch here for birthday and honestly it was perfect. we were so well looked for by the beautiful staff, the menu choices were great and eating was simply amazing. we had sourdough, teufel on gun, tomatensalat, pigdog and my wife had the quaking pudding while I had the pineapple cake. every ingredient of every meal was so well thought out and delivered. we will never forget how good it was!

If the prices were half as much I'd say it was an average meal at an average pub. It's nice, the staff are nice and attentive, but the food was really really disappointing for the price point. £60 for a 300g ribeye that was chewy and relied on sauce for taste is not reasonable. I am all for overpaying for food when it is good, but this just wasn't. The pie was decent, but tiny. Good wine list. Probably won't come back, shame.

Can’t believe it has a Michelin star. Should be reassessed soon. At best good pub food. Nothing inspired or beautiful. So disappointing. Waitresses pleasant but one does not reach across guests to put wine or bread on table.Amateurish service. very expensive for what was provided plus £18 plus added for service for an overpriced lunch. Don’t talk about the “famous” triple cooked chips. Greasy and overcooked and didn’t finish. We were sad at end of lunch as so disappointed with experience.

absolutely phenomenal, the dishes are traditionally English, but in true Heston style are increased. it is simply delicious eating in great combinations and we really enjoyed our delicious meal. we had the crab with skorn, and mushroom parfait for “snacks” that were unusual and tasty. we shared the salmon starter, it was nice, but nothing special. we both had the healed for the net and it was really amazing soft flocculent fish, wild garlic puree and we had the yummiest butterkohl with it! was fab. desserts were ( surprisingly) less impressive, but even better than most places they would visit. a truly unforgettable meal, we would like to return.

The restaurant offers phenomenal dishes that put a traditional English twist on them, with a touch of Heston's style. The food is simply delicious, with great combinations that we thoroughly enjoyed. We started with the crab with sprouts and mushroom parfait, which were unusual but tasty snacks. The salmon starter was nice but nothing special. For our main course, we both had the halibut, which was incredibly soft and fluffy, served with wild garlic purée and delicious butter cabbage. The desserts were surprisingly less impressive, but still better than most places. Overall, it was a truly unforgettable meal that we would love to experience again.

Lovely restaurant so full of character. Waiting staff were excellent. We were given 4 course meal gift as red letter day but they made you feel no different to if you were paying yourself. So polite and friendly and welcoming. Very attentive without being too attentive. Knew the menu well and could explain the dishes perfectly without having to check everything. Perfect with allergens knew exactly what was in each dish without having to check with chef and excellent alternatives provided. A lovely little touch with a happy anniversary board. Would 100% recommend this restaurant. It was a lovely memorable special Occasion and everything was top quality with super knowledgeable pleasant, frien...
