The restaurant was relatively quiet for a midweek lunch, which isn’t surprising. They have an excellent selection of beers, and the food was quite impressive—fresh, flavorful, and reasonably priced. We had a wonderful experience at this charming pub with its fantastic staff. We arrived with our campervan just as they were closing, due to delays at Luton airport, and they were incredibly accommodating, allowing us to stay overnight in their parking lot. We also ordered dinner to take away, along with a beer! The breakfast in the morning was excellent and a perfect way to cap off our stay. We will definitely be coming back! This charming 17th-century traditional pub offers a selection of Fuller's ales. The beautifully preserved building is adorned with wisteria in full bloom during Easter. There are no TVs, gaming machines, or other modern distractions; instead, you'll find dark wood paneling and furniture, along with a well-kept beer garden. The ales are well-maintained, and I've heard the food is quite good, though a bit on the pricey side. The opening hours adhere to traditional standards, so be sure to check them before planning to enjoy a leisurely afternoon here.

Came here with my partner and it's such a lovely traditional pup which is rare to see in today's times staff were friendly and service was incredible pup is run by a small team of dedicated staff that clearly take pride in there work chatting with customers food is incredible genuine home cooked food I had the lasagna which was one of the best I've had in years will dine here again so if your in the area or like me out on short break it's definitely worth the trip A little small but cozy and friendly and they are dog friendly even giving the option to add a sausage to your main meal just for the dog.
