Good location on the waterfront with views of the Harbour. Disappointed that the “whole sole” on the menu was not “dover sole” as the restaurant is on Dover. Fish and chips used cod which had a bit of fishy taste. Calamari appetizer was quite a small portion. Service was friendly.

Came here for my husband's birthday in April. We were seated by the window which was perfect for us. The service was excellent. The sharing seafood board was excellent as was the crab and chips. We had no room for the dessert. Only negative is that it is quite expensive for the area. Would recommend.

We have been using this restaurant for several years now unfortunately our meal was not as good as we have had in the past Staff were lovely but the sloppy vegetables and potatoes let them down as well as the dryed up chicken I had It's such a shame as dover needs this to work but unfortunately we won't be eating at this restaurant again View menu

Four of us dined at the restaurant and were blown away by the starters. We shared a seafood platter for one that easily fed two of us, featuring shrimp, mussels, king prawns, langoustines, and cockles served with Marie and Tartar sauce. Two of us opted for the calamari, and all of the dishes were excellent. The mains were equally impressive, with three of us selecting the battered king prawns and chips, while another chose the cod loin. The service was incredibly helpful and friendly. If I could, I would give this restaurant 10 stars.

Popped round today 24 Aug 23) for lunch with 4 kids and a friend. Food was disappointing all round, chips very kich on a limp side if you can't get chips right it is unlikely anything else is good). Fish was tasteless, one of the kids said that no amount of salt and pepper would make the fish taste of anything. I also cannot ascertain that my son's fish was fully cooked either. My friend left most of hers uneaten as didn't want to fall I'll. Despite the warm and sunny evening, we were promptly greeted and seated at the restaurant. Our waiter was friendly and took our drink and food orders. We all decided to have cod with chips and peas. The cod was a good size, but it still had skin on it, which is common for seaside locations. I should have remembered to ask for skinless cod. looked at the online menu before we went and was specifically looking forward to rack of lamb which we were told was the only item not available when we arrived. Had the prawn cocktail to start which was fresh and tasty followed by lemon sole which was perfectly cooked and delicious. For pudding had the lemon tart which was very nice and strong in flavour. We booked this meal for wedding anniversary and booked it 3 weeks ago. We left our phone number with them. We arrived to the restaurant only to see it has changed hands !!!!!!! It is now an Italian named Bella Vita . We wanted an evening meal and had already picked out what we were going to have from the menu only to see its now an Italian., We stayed there to try it but come away VERY disappointed !!
