"Small, Scandinavian type Greek eatery at Hornsey. Friendly service, with a great variety of coffees teas to choose from. Some daily baked loaves of bread to indulge your daily breakfast/ lunch or dinner. Amazing cinnamon role (warm), tasteful cheese pie (kourou) Italian lemonade! Some great dishes to choose from like pita souvlaki sandwich, soup of the day, even avocado open sandwich. You should try the freshly baked bread!!!! They have some really yummy Greek delis like kourampiedes, or ION chocolate bars!!!! Be back? YES!!! 9/10"

The only place to go for a great coffee as well as a fresh loaf of bread. Their sourdough bread is lovely and their croissants are delicious.

This cafe never ceases to amaze me with the huge selection of home-made cakes and savoury dishes. It’s outstanding and the staff are so friendly, including the master baker, Christina, who puts Mary Berry in the shade! Stunning!

Dilema has become a popular spot since everyone started talking about it, but these guys are truly exceptional and offer everything that chain restaurants do not. Could this be the best coffee in London? It's definitely a strong contender.

What a great name- this alone enticed us to come in! The staff were very friendly and their coffee was good. The standout however, was the freshly squeezed grapefruit juice, which was squeezed in front of me, and tasted SO good! I would come back just for that! View menu

I enjoyed some delicious savory snacks and tea while dining in, and also took home some Greek sweets. The quality of the baked goods and food items was top-notch. Although the prices were a bit on the higher side, the quality definitely justified it. I will definitely be returning in the future!

I have visited my neighborhood cafe a few times for breakfast and have always found the food to be fresh, of excellent quality, and very tasty. I often stop by to pick up breads and cakes to go, which are always of the same high quality. Today, I decided to try their ice cream and opted for the dark chocolate and morello cherry flavor in a cone – it was absolutely delicious.

This part of Haringey is certainly on the mend, with many young professionals moving into new developments and changing the nature of the area. The Intrepid Fork is one of the signs of movement, and is actually an excellent place for breakfast, lunch, or just a coffee with friends. All the staff are young and Greek and most friendly and helpful, the bakes are great, and we come here when it is too cold and grey to cook breakfast at home. An exquisite addition to the neighbourhood!

"A friend and I stumbled on to this neighbourhood restaurant by chance; no research, no booking, no expectations. We were then blown away by the quality of the food: wonderfully fresh fish, beautifully cooked. The service is also exemplary. I've always enjoyed calamari, but this was by far the best I've ever had: truly succulent and juicy. The mussels were almost as good, and the sea bream kept up the standard. The spiced quince with ice cream made a nice change from baclava in a Turkish restaurant (they still threw in some baclava). The owner, Tony, provides excellent recommendations — make sure you take them! He knows what's fresh that morning, and how his wife cooks it. The bill comes hand-written, and Tony forgot to include the wine (obviously I corrected him). I can't remember the last time a restaurant bill made a mistake in the customers' favour! No service charge is included, and it deserves a lot more than the usual 12.5%. This is a wonderful, old-fashioned restaurant, run by a charming old couple, committed to maintaining old-fashioned standards. The food is more than great and the prices more than reasonable. Service is personal, honest and responsive (providing Tony turns his hearing aid on). Tony warns you if anything you wanted was bought in, rather than home-made. Why don't unassuming but wonderful restaurants like this get Michelin stars?"
