Fantastic Sunday lunch. Generous portions of wonderful food! Very well priced, great value for money.

The staff here make this place the worst on the high street. The food and drinks are all good and well priced but being told to talk quietly when no one else was in the place takes the Mick.

Our stay at the King’s Arms was a delightful surprise. So comfortable and lovely, helpful staff. Good location, with some onsite parking. We loved visiting Godalming and would definitely like to stay again.

We held our wedding reception at the hotel in May! If we could give it 10 stars we would. Food, customer service, rooms, staff EVERYTHING was excellent and the team went above and beyond. The setting was classy and romantic and all of our guests were looked after and treated like royalty. We continue to visit for breakfast, lunch, drinks, coffee and are never disappointed. Highly recommend for a small (40 ish) wedding that won’t break the bank either. And chef makes a wicked pie!

7 of us visited today for Sunday lunch although the staff worked hard they were clearly short staffed . The wait for each course was way too long . We had to ask for condiments for the table and when they came the salt was empty. We have had lunch here before which was excellent but not this time I’m afraid . I had the roast beef but it was a bit dry and not pink as I like it . My husband had the pork which was advertised as pork loin on the menu but it was actually pork belly . We do love this place so we hope the criticism is constructive and they can improve

My husband, mother, and I had a wonderful two-night stay at this restaurant. We came to visit the place where my grandmother had lived and worked in the 1940s, and we were not disappointed. We were fortunate to be able to check in early and find a parking space for our car. The staff were all exceptional, very friendly and helpful. The food and cocktails were delicious and plentiful. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great and we would definitely come back and recommend it to others. I only gave 4 stars for sleep because the bed in the room I booked was too small for the two of us.

Wanted to capture the relaxing and warm feeling of a great afternoon tea, We had a couple of food related requests which were catered for with no problems and no fuss this was really appreciated. As it was Christmas we were provided with crackers, which was very much appreciated. The setting was perfect for Christmas, and the staff were helpful and very polite. Scones were fresh, cakes were also good especially liked the cheesecake and the carrot cake but to be honest, all the cakes were lovely and I imagine, homemade. Thank you to the staff at the King's Arms it was a lovely afternoon which both myself and my friend needed.

After a delightful Sunday afternoon exploring Godalming, we decided it was time for a traditional Sunday lunch. Despite arriving late, we placed our hopes on the Kings Arms to serve us a late lunch. Thankfully, we were not disappointed. As soon as we entered, Ell ensured we felt warmly welcomed and provided excellent service throughout our meal. The roast beef lunch was everything one could hope for in an English Sunday lunch - perfectly cooked and a great match for our Rioja. I would highly recommend a visit to this restaurant for its delicious food, friendly staff, and exceptional service. My visit to this attractive venue led me to believe that the service would be excellent. Unfortunately, I was proven wrong by a senior staff member. When I placed a simple order for four drinks, the glasses were broken and there was a 15-minute wait for the last drink. It seemed as though we were an inconvenience to the assistant manager, who was more concerned about serving the table next to us, even though they had received the wrong tea order. When we tried to rectify the situation and change the outstanding drink order due to the long wait, we were charged the full price.
