"Warm and welcoming pub. A very authentic, 'local ' feel to it, nice sense of community as you go in. We went a few times during our stay at a nearby campsite and it was always busy and had a good atmosphere. Nothing really on the menu without meat, dairy and eggs so we opted for a jacket potato, which came out with a hearty portion of beans and a nice, golden skin on the potato just what you want after a day of walking or cycling. Good range of drinks at reasonable prices as well. Dog friendly and muddy walking boots friendly as well!"

We had a delightful Sunday lunch today with delicious food, great wine, and excellent service. After a walk on Leith Hill, we decided to stop by with our dogs and were pleasantly surprised.

Fabulous charming country pub, with cosy nooks and corners, roaring fires and very welcoming Landlady and staff. The food is of a very high standard, and we found it to be very reasonably priced. Lovely big garden for the summer months, and just a warm friendly atmosphere. We loved it, definitely visiting again. View menu

We discovered this pub a couple of months ago and literally fell in love! Such a great place to get away from everyday's busy life and relax in front of a fireplace with nice friendly people around. The food tastes like home made and the staff is great and very considerate. We come here regularly now and enjoy every minute! Do visit The King's Head you won't regret!

This pub is fantastic! The food is unbelievably good, with a great selection of wine and beer. The accommodation is amazingly beautiful and set in a stunning location. The staff are friendly and the breakfast is delicious. I highly recommend this place for both staying and eating. There are excellent walking opportunities right from the door in Surrey Hills. We celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary here and wished we could have stayed longer. View menu

Went to the Kings Head with my husband and 4 friends. It is a really lovely pub and very atmospheric. The men in the group were very happy with the real ales on offer and my wine was delicious. We all had meals and none of us was disappointed. I had a homemade chicken and leek pie, my husband had a steak a couple of the others had cauliflower cheese with bacon. We also had the mixed grill and a lamb shank. Every mouthful was delicious. I would definitely go there again and soon I hope.

the king’s head is the best pub I’ve ever been! I love it, love it! Vintage style with a lot of character makes it simply melt into the atmosphere. every single article about it has a story and cried to tell it. you just want to make photos of everything and everyone (what I did shamelessly). this is a country pub, dogs friendly and they can literally come here for dog therapy! great eating, we enjoy every bite of it! the piano takes them away and they wish they never had to go. thanks for great experience!
