"I finally made my way down here after some suggestions (Thank you Tony Marsden). The peculiarity of this weatherspoon's pub is its location, in an ex branch of the Bank of England!! The place is breathtaking with its imposing architecture and wide spaces and the lovely overlooking balcony is a treat of tiny alcoves and dark passages. Food wise they serve the usual range typical of the whole chain and the quality is just a bit higher than the other branches. I was lucky to go on a quite moment that have allowed me to enjoy it at full, but that didn't prevent the kitchen from messing my order and the staff to be a bit patronising when inquired about my missing dish. I even had to go and...read more"

Nice atmosphere in a beautifully decorated traditional pub. Food is quite nice (still pub food) an inexpensive.

excellent interieur in the heart of the city. run by weatherspoon, so excellent trips. quiet at the weekend, which is beautiful. the bathrooms are amazingly very detailed.

avoid them to all cost, personal are a shameful and pub policy is shameful to say the least. I prefer to drink the water from the themes than ever to put foot on the place.

not disturbing. the bar staff is controversial and protective, which is particularly laughing, as they do not know which products are offered for sale. eating is mediocre and drinks are nothing special. avoid them. View menu

I was here in the past for lunch and found it a nice place to go, but after their scandalous attitude towards a blind war veteran, when they refused to serve him, and actually the police in, I would never walk back in here!

great place to eat. the service was good, especially as we have entered the height of the midday period. when they sit on a table, they put their order on their phone. great value for her money, especially for a family of 5.

it is an excellent pub, one of my favorite wetherspoons. I was there twice, the first time in the evening was the pub very busy, but still workers were very friendly, eating well, beer cold. my second time, on the last Saturday morning, I had the pub neatly on mine. personal, eating, prices and beer deserved 5 stars and toilets! incredible size and beautifully decorated. do not expect a 5* hotel restaurant. it's a pub. I would say the pub. fish and chips cooked to perfection, steaks just like per order, fast service. reasonable prices, fun and diverse people, a full of beer and some non-alcoholic choices too. good for families good for couples good for colleagues/friends good for singles good for those who are not sure about the above. I liked it. it is modern old fashion, it is democratic it is dynamic. it's england

A beautiful pub, just stunning architecture! I came here on a Friday night with work colleagues for a drink and it was absolutely packed to the rafters! It is a great place but the amount of time spent waiting for a drink takes so long that you spend less than that actually drinking. It looks like it would be a great place when it's a bit quieter, as when we went there were lots of people outside and on the opposite street drinking too as there was barely any space, despite the large size of the building.
