A lovely local pub that is also happy to welcome tourists. A good range of drinks, lovely cheesy chips and friendly staff. Very good size car park, dogs welcome in certain areas.

what a wonderful fund this pub was! the front of the house staff was very welcoming and amazing to accept and explore options with the chef for nutrition. we had a nice meal. many thanks.

Staff attentive and happy to please. Clean. Was very impressed to find space to change a baby in the ladies toilets, especially as the building is old. My fussy eating child enjoyed his meal very much

only for lunch, so you can not comment on the rooms and stay over. pleasant old pub. clean and welcoming. I had no reservation, but it was pretty quiet. menu for the special menu. nicely cooked and presented with good service overall. will be revisited when in the opposite.

amazing atmosphere, delicious food, 5-star service. we were lucky to sit on Saturday night without booking before we were turned away last time. good selection of drinks. were delicious. for more than 10 years ago I have missed so many possibilities to discover this absolute jewel. is guaranteed again. Friday afternoon we had an incredible lunch. the food was great, we had the cuddles from the specials, they were so juicy, the sauce delicious. the broken inkfish was slightly crispy and perfectly cooked. we also shared a “Gubbins Board” that was loaded with many large homemade hearty tasty items. the pate was one of the best I ever had. the front of the house team is very friendly, great service with personality. the pub itself is beautiful, a few different areas (restaurant/bar/pub) and nooks

I was fortunate enough to snag a table last minute at this restaurant. We enjoyed a drink while we waited for our food to be ordered. I must say, we waited quite a while - 45 minutes - for our starters to arrive. The staff was apologetic, and when the food did arrive, it was delicious. We were served a generous gubbins board and prawn cocktails. The mains of mussels and jambalaya were also tasty and served in good portions. The staff worked hard to make up for the long wait, so I would rate it a 4 out of 5, it would have been a 5 if not for the wait.

Went out for what was going to be a quick meal at The Lamb. Booked early as we fid not want to be caught in the 7.40/8.00 rush. Bar service fine. Shown to the table to be presented with some menus that had seen better days and directed to the ‘specials’ board. We went straight to mains and hoped to have a dessert. All the food came out eventually and was judged by all to be OK. Some courses better than others. My Fish and Chips the fish was over cooked but passable. Took an age to clear the table. Promised a dessert menu never came so paid and left! Not a great experience and not sure I would rush back View menu
