"Went here for the first time today whilst out shopping in Cupar. The Lighthouse is a Coffee Shop and Christian resource centre run by a combination of paid staff and volunteers from the Churches. The Coffee shop sells the usual variety of hot drinks, rolls, toasties, baked potatoes and cakes. They also have a small lunch menu with soup, two main courses and hot pudding which changes on a daily basis. Good, honest unpretentious food in reasonable portions and very reasonable prices. Not the most modern interior I would liken it to going to Granma's but not in a bad way. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Bookshop has a wide variety of cards, books and giftware inspired by it's Christian theme. I think it is well worth a visit if you are looking for a gift for a more religious relative/friend or to relax with a coffee. Pleasant atmosphere and no, you will not be read texts from the bible although I am sure they would be happy to oblige if you asked nicely!!! Have rated it in context with the type of establishment it is."

I found this quite by accident as there was scaffolding hiding the facade, and initially I went in for a cup of tea. I discovered they did cakes and home made soup and special meals of the day. My 2nd visit gave me a roast pork dinner for £4. It was hot and had all the trimmings. Not an 'a-la-carte ' service but good old home cooking, couldn 't fault it for the price. I visited 4 times in a week as the value for money was so good, as were the lovely ladies working there. Definitely worth a visit if you are looking for a nice lunch out. View menu

It is rare to come across an independent Christian bookstore nowadays, but Lighthouse in Cupar is a gem. With two paid staff members and a team of volunteers, the store offers a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The food may be simple, but it is delicious. We stopped by for morning tea and scones, which were freshly baked and served by a gracious volunteer. The prices are affordable, and they offer light lunch options such as soup, jacket potatoes, and toasties. While they may not have real coffee or spacious restrooms, Lighthouse provides a great dining experience with a homely touch.

The reason we chose this small bookshop and cafe for a spot of light lunch was that very nearly everyone before us, on Trip Advisor, had given it four stars ... and that was certainly an extra enough incentive to cross their threshold on a rainy Wednesday in the Month of September. 'The Lighthouse ' operates from a nicely-refurbished, early-1800ish, traditionally-Fife-original-building staffed by ladies of good 'Fifer ' humour and homely courtesy. The food choices are basic on the menu but when they are brought to one 's table, good-humouredly and chatty like, the stuff proves to be excellent to a fault. Jane Crockett and her Charitable Trust are making a good go of this venture. Though the...
