"Beautiful Hotel set in wonderful gardens superbly finished to a high standard, the welcome was polite and efficient. We had to check in early and the receptionist looked after us and stored our bags until we returned in the evening. The room (307) clean airy and light and was well appointed with a large kitchen with a good selection of utensils , a fridge , washing machine and kettle with endless tea and coffee. The bed was comfortable large double with crisp clean bedding fabulous pillows and a good light with an addition socket to charge the phone etc .The bathroom was large clean and plenty of towels for us both . one point was the shower head connection was leaking water. Not many toiletries but had hand soap and shampoo (ok quality)We had the opportunity to have breakfast in the morning, There was a wait but we were informed and keep in the loop, so no complaints there , we found a table outside and with the fabulous weather and coffee orange juice and water we we set our selves down for a good morning. The breakfast was excellent, We had Eggs Benedict and a full English breakfast cooked to perfection and generous too ! The coffee was of a high standard and service was great. We checked out which was good and complimented some of your colleagues on the way out. This is a gem of a hotel near Southampton and will only get better, wonderful staff and clean tidy hotel... we'll have no problem in recommending this hotel."

Nice coffee and cakes. Breakfast is tasty, not particularly big portion but to be expected at a fancy place.

My family and I dined in one of the pods for Sunday lunch and were amazed by the stunning surroundings! Our bubbly waitress, Amelia, took excellent care of us. The food was incredible, and I highly recommend the Sunday sharing board. We can’t wait to come back and try the afternoon menu!

We celebrated my brother’s birthday here with a Sunday lunch in one of the outside pods. we all ordered a starter, which were all excellent and a good sized portions . Then we had the set Sunday lunch Platter, as there were 8 of us we ordered extra roasted potatoes and 4 portions of cauliflower cheese. wow when the platter’s arrived it was extremely well presented and plenty of food. we certainly didn’t need the extra roasties or starters. we were offered boxes to take away our leftovers. we didn’t have room for pudding. overall a throughly enjoyable experience, no hesitation to recommend and will definitely be returning Food drinks: Wow food, drinks good as well View menu

I visited this restaurant for Sunday dinner today after hearing good reviews, but I was quite disappointed. My wife ordered the chicken and beef roast, and we requested extra bratkartoffeln after reading that they usually serve very small portions. Instead, we received nothing on our plates and no extra sides, despite having ordered them. I had the typical large, hard, cold Yorkshire pudding, which I ended up not eating. I also ordered a chicken dish but didn’t receive what I expected. When I raised the issue about our order not being fulfilled and arriving late, it felt like the meal was spoiled at that point. Additionally, the prices were quite high for what we received. It's a shame becau...

Very impressive building from the outside, but the inside does not replicate this. If offered room 205, request a different room immediately. One part of the room was a live building site. One window had no shutter or curtain to stop the morning light. Windows are single pane so noisy and drafty. The shower toilet is so small the door only half opens before it hits the sink! And the dining table looked like it was from a butcher's shop. Mishmash of cutlery, plates, glasses, etc. No washing up sponge supplied plus no tray to bake goods on in the oven. After one night we complained and got a marginally better room, but still not worth the £150 per night price tag probably worth half that at a...

"Bacaro is situated in Ocean village and it is a little gem of a place. It is tastefully decorated for a chilled and relaxing time that you will have. There is both a restaurant and bar area and you feel at ease in the place !! Anyway upon arrival you are always greeted with a smile by the happy bar staff which is always lovely I have always loved this place but I would only give a top rating if it deserved it and not through loyalty !! Tonight I had arancini, crayfish linguine and garlic bread, washed down with a lovely glass of house red. The arancini are just the best I have ever tasted, they are both filling but light, the taste is a joy for the taste buds and obviously highly recommended. The linguine is a good portion, I love the flavours and the way the dish is both cooked and presented, the crayfish has a subtle flavour and I never leave any of it. The garlic bread is filling and not dry, they don't skimp on the garlic butter I can't fault the food at all and never have done this is mainly due to the sublime cooking skills from the chefs Greg, Alex and all the wonderful kitchen staff. Bacaro is expertly run the effervescent manager Sophie, for the job you do and how you run Bacaro I tip my hat to you Sophie is well backed up by Matt, Eleanor, Conor, Sindija and all the other wonderful staff ... You make the place and we are grateful for the brilliant jobs you do Very highly recommend"
