"Thought we’d try it out as a friend recommended it a few weeks ago saying how amazing the food was. We went for lunch and it was atrocious to say the least. The front of house staff are lovely, I can’t fault them but the food is basic and most of it looks bought in rather than made in house. The restaurant is disgusting. The walls are covered in black marks and the furniture is all worn and stained and some of the chairs are damaged. Some walls have different paper while others are painted green. It’s quite clear that no attention has been payed to the aesthetic or appearance of this place. The outside of the building is gorgeous, lovely original beams, shapes and features but the inside doesn’t reflect this. Probably a nice enough place for a pint but not exactly a beautiful restaurant."

Always a great place to eat and have a pint with friends. Their chicken burgers are solid gold!

The Sunday roast at this restaurant is the best in Devizes. It comes in a large portion and is absolutely delicious.

Came in to watch a gig. Okay selection of drinks, didn’t order food. Not too busy and the staff were really friendly.

Cheerful and helpful staff. A pint of Horizon, Sunday roast and Eton Mess hit the spot for me. Love the resident puppy.

Me and my partner had dinner here yesterday. The food was truly wonderful, so well cooked. I had the crispy chicken burger, my partner had the rump steak. The staff were kind, and the prices were reasonable

I used to really enjoy eating here 5+ years ago. I'm not one to give a 1 star reviews lightly but the food has been disappointing on my last few visits and barring the fries was inedible on my last visit. I can't see myself going back.

Attended with friends to celebrate my birthday. Waitress was welcoming and friendly. We all enjoyed our meals. I had the flat iron steak and it was beautifully cooked and tender. Almost as good as some fillet steaks I’ve had. The mushroom sauce was delicious. Good menu options. Will return. Cheers.

We had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant! After a long drive, my partner and I stopped by and each had a flat iron steak with parsley and butter sauce, cooked medium rare. We also ordered truffle and pecorino fries and enjoyed a glass of Chardonnay, all for around £23. The steak was good, but the real standout was the fries, sauce, and other accompaniments on the plate, which were absolutely delicious. We will definitely be returning in the future and highly recommend this restaurant for a nice meal.

My partner and I were in search of a cozy pub to grab a drink and some tasty food. We decided to try out this place and we were not disappointed! The service was excellent, with friendly and attentive servers. I had been craving a delicious burger all week, and this one hit the spot perfectly. The meal was so enjoyable that we found ourselves in a contented silence at the table. My partner, who can be picky about his food, was easily accommodated without any trouble and truly savored his meal. We had a great time and would highly recommend this place for a satisfying burger and a refreshing pint. We will definitely be returning!

"We stayed here ten years ago and thought it was wonderful and worth every penny. We were so excited to return, but really Disapointed. The grounds are lovely and we were pleased with our room. The children loved the outdoor space and the pool What really let us down was the food and service. There was no luxury here. The family dining choices were poor. The children's meal was bad one had fish gougons and sweet potato fries which were very salty. The other two had pizza, the small was served as half a pizza, the large was a conventional round shape. Both were shop bought bases (cardboard) with grated Cheddar on the top. Something I would not feed them at home let alone expect in a supposedly high end dining. My husband's steak was chewy. My main, whole plaice with creamed potatoes, the potato was served in a ceramic dish and it was cold. It was taken away and then took ten minutes to return by which point I had eaten the fish. The food was incredibly expensive considering how poor the offerings were. The next day we ate a very late lunch in Bath so we would not have to eat at the hotel. The breakfast buffet area had some nice items but was really understocked and allowed to run to empty. The staff functioned but not at a steady rate, we found the service slow and the staff disinterested. Such a contrast to our previous visit. The person in charge we found sullen and felt as if our presence was an inconvenience. When we walked through to the dining areas we would hop out of the staff'so way for fear of being bulldozed. When we left the receptionist was polite but did not ask if we enjoyed our stay. A week later I had an email to complete a survey and nobody got in touch despite the same feedback as given here. Very dispointing. Lovely room and surroundings but poor food and poor attitude from staff. Last year we stayed in a hotel that cost 65% less than Wooley Grange and had a much better experience."

"We had a tremendously good lunch here today-the food was quite delicious, the staff were very friendly and helpful-I’d say it’s probably one of the best lunches I’ve had in quite some time….so to give you a clue we both had the pork-this sounded really lovely and we were not disappointed-pork belly, tenderloin,a faggot and a ham hock croquet with mashed potato and roasted cauliflower with a delicious jus and a slice of pickled apple( which I ate immediately with a piece of pork and when the waiter came to ask how our lunch was I asked if he could possibly get me another piece-which he did For dessert we shared the passion fruit crème brûlée which came with a passion fruit sorbet and some chocolate soil…..the focaccia we had at the start of the meal was superb and the coffee was also excellent -we do enjoy both cooking and eating-one of life’s pleasures and it’s abundantly clear the chef absolutely loves food too-a great display of cooking books from the greats sort of got me thinking it would be a good lunch…….also worth noting the drinks menu-some lovely wines, soft drinks and cocktails both alcoholic and non alcoholic. I finished off with a mocha which was hot chocolatey but not too sweet. Bradford on Avon is most definitely worth a visit and I’d say you would be foolish to miss out on a great experience if you didn’t also pop in to the bunch of grapes for some sustenance while there… Thanks for lunch and as Arnie says “ we’ll be back”….."
