"My friend is disabled at the moment, due to illness, when we looked for somewhere that had allergy friendly as my friend is gluten free. We asked the young lady if there was anything available gluten free for lunch which was around 1.15pm.she said no nothing oh we have a chocolate brownie, as my friend had struggled to get in she didn’t want to try anywhere else so sat with a cake for her lunch, I asked if it was possible to have a salad, told no we don’t do salads. I asked for a side salad with my sandwich to be told it had to be In sandwich.very dissatisfied with today I was taking my lovely friend out and also she was trying to cheer me up from my husband’s bereavement."

"Visited Galleria (Rainhill on Friday night, not our first visit as we are usually very happy with the quality of food and standard of cooking provided. However, we were hugely dissatisfied on this occasion. The 3 course Christmas meal was more expensive than advertised on the website! (website misleading. The main course and dessert were very disappointing with regards to portion sizes and food temperature, for example the pork option consisted of one slice of meat, one small carrot and one sprout (not joking and was luke warm. Christmas pudding not what you'd imagine, a small thin square with some sauce ! and was also lukewarm. Chocolate pudding option was remarkable for the fact that one of our guest received a much smaller portion than the other. Should have complained but did not want to cause a fuss or embrasment in front of our guests. Terrible value for money, in hindsight should have gone to the Cookhouse Carvery at least you know its consistent and good value for money, no fancy menu descriptions!"

"Great Sunday lunch ! Looking for somewhere new to take the family of 5 for lunch I read a couple of reviews from local newspapers and had to try it out ! Staff where lovely, attentive taking drinks orders, took around 30mins for meal to arrive which during the meal staff asked if everything was ok so big tick for staff! Sunday lunch we booked as were informed it does sell out we all had the beef, I’m always wary of beef but this was delicious! It was cut thinly, melted in the mouth, cabbage was so tasty loved the glazed carrots and greens ! 3 empty plates ! They were able to accommodate my child’s request for sausage mash n beans he ate this all himself.. another hit ! Hubby had a burger and said it was great! Not familiar with the area but easy to park outside on double yellows for free on a Sunday. Works out around £15 per head. What a little gem thanks team vigour for a lovely Sunday lunch see you again !"

"overall I liked it, food cooked fresh and service was good. weinglasses on the table in an effort, as a real restaurant appear, but his definitiw feel a pub, nothing wrong with it, but felt confused in what it was. my only real critique was chips. I hate fries and would be ordered with my burger and my son rather correct chips southern roasted chickenburger, which with 2 burgers so generously stacked in size but not south fried"

"I had high hopes for this restaurant based on the reviews but Unfortunately I can’t say I very much enjoyed my first and potentially last trip to Sabroso. Firstly let me say that we got the food as a takeaway. Now, I’m not a big fan of writing bad reviews. I would rather write a review praising the establishment to allow others to try as we have. However, we were mislead by the reviews and feel that maybe we caught them on a bad day. Nevertheless we had a bad experience. We started with some soft chicken tacos which *spoiler alert* were the best thing that we tried. The flavour was great. The meat quantity was perfect. A great little starter if you’re willing to share. I was getting really excited at this point. However, it’s a slow decline from here. The fried jalapeños were not great. Felt and tasted manufactured if I’m quite honest and with the chilli dip to go with it, which was most certainly ‘crucials extra hot chilli sauce’ that you get in most takeaways these days, I was feeling slightly let down. You would think a Mexican/ tex mex restaurant would at least make a good chilli sauce. For the main, I had a Beef Chilli burrito, which I asked to be made a little spicier, and it Was flavourless. Mainly tasted like cheese and was packed with rice, which I understand that’s what a burrito should be But there was barely any meat/ chilli. I was thinking if my chicken tacos were that tasty I can’t wait for the burrito but it was bland. No flavour to the Mexican rice and there wasn’t any spice to be found. I was very disappointed to say the least. The missus had chicken enchiladas and had this to say: large portion with a substantial amount of chicken but could only really taste tomatoes. Too saucy and rather flavourless. The onion rings and sweet potato fries tasted like they came from a packet. Overall a solid 2 out of 5. I had high hopes from the reviews but it really wasn’t much to shout about. Nothing really Mexican in sight except the tacos. Do not let our review stop you from trying the food for yourselves and maybe you’ll have a better experience If you eat in the restaurant rather than a takeaway. Enjoy yourselves. Nick and Becky."
