"Fish and chips, chicken wings and desert were good. The serices was very friendly how ever kids meal was spaghetti Bolognese, was just pasta and tomato sauce no mince meat kids main was pasta and tomato souce with chips one veg side No protein. In the kids starters, there was an option of soup of the day, it was the same as the tomato past source served with 2 peaces of bread. There was not many vegetarian options. I ended up choosing. The burger it was ok, over all I was not impressed."

This was our first visit to The Old Talbot. We visited for Sunday lunch and all had the carvery. We really enjoyed our visit. Food all cooked well with a good selection of sides, overall delicious! Service was excellent. We will return and would recommend.

On Sunday the 21st of April, me and my girlfriend went to the Talbot for lunch. It was very busy and we didn’t have a booking so we were expected to be turned away. To our surprise, Rocky showed us to a table and we had a lovely lunch! Would highly recommend!!

It was noticeable that they are under new management here and for the better. It was always good (apart from smug service) but it has definitely gone up a notch. A lovely server and excellent food, the gammon was the finest I’ve ever eaten!! I’ll be back for more!

We had a thoroughly lovely meal at the Old Talbot and chose food from the special fish menu. Really hope thats a regular as it was cooked to perfection by the new chef Lazaro. Great service all evening from James and a nice touch from the guitarist when we visited. Good ambience and we will definitely return.
