The Oxford Blue - Menu

I spent 10 minutes listening to a poor chap getting a properly dressed down in the kitchen by the manager and his wife I assume). Made me feel physically sick. Left before I could finish my pint.

I had a great evening here tonight. A delicious stone baked pizza from their outdoor pizza oven. Tasty and filling. A friend had the salmon which he said was delicious too. Great beer and Aspall's cider too. The staff were also very friendly I would thoroughly recommend a visit. I will be coming back soon.

The owner, James, is an awful person who is very greedy. I went to meet my friends after a dinner party, and I was pressured into buying a drink or else asked to leave, even though my friends had already spent a lot of money that night and I was already full from dinner. We had a wonderful family meal at this restaurant. The two waiters were fantastic and despite being very busy, they provided excellent service and made sure we had a great time. The food was delicious and the kitchen was well organized. The beer selection was also great. I would definitely recommend this place.

Visit to Oxford Blue after seeing an ‘A’ board advertisement on Cowley Road about the food on offer. So glad we came across it as the food is excellent. Enjoyed a Sunday roast which was delicious and a very generous helping. Limited menu but the food could not be faulted. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Thanks will return again soon.

We visited this delightful pub on Friday, together with a friend who used to visit this pub as a student 53 years ago, when it was called The Swan. Warm welcome from the staff, who were helpful and informative about the menu. We each enjoyed our delicious lunch from the varied and creative menu. to the time the oxford blue was one of my local favorites, I enjoyed all my previous visits; the personal was warm and friendly; eating interesting, delicious and well cooked; the style cozy and welcoming (think old English gent meets salvage hof chic), so was pretty gob smashed by the review. to think that will undoubtedly be solved by now, and in the necessity of a local pub lunch, we have decided to return. we had some visitors with us (N,L their daughter e), so we all went away, the fingers crossed everything would be good. after we had called the seats and a high chair, it turned out that it was really not necessary that we were the only diners in the whole restaurant. there were...read...

The Blue showcases local artists and musicians, yet manages to do so in a casual manner that doesn't come across as pretentious. The staff is attentive, and the owners are the kind of people who remember your name and order after just one visit.
