"The restaurant has a lovely ambiance and the staff is friendly, but when we visited in the afternoon, there was only one other table occupied. We ordered the gammon steak and peppercorn chicken. The gammon steak was extremely salty, to the point where it seemed like it had been marinated solely in salt. The chips were also undercooked. The peppercorn chicken was decent, but when we mentioned the issue with the gammon steak to the waiter, he was dismissive and rude. When I asked to speak to the chef to try to rectify the situation, the waiter informed me that I would have to pay for a replacement steak. It's not about the cost, but rather the lack of hospitality and failure to address the problem appropriately. Overall, we were extremely disappointed with our experience."
