"Plucked this pub from Tripadvisor. Met some friends for lunch. First question, can I bring the dog in? YES. Excellent answer. Traditional pub atmosphere. Mega pleasant staff. Traditional English pub food with a couple of curries for choice. We ordered hot lamb sandwiches with chips...and salad and a burger with cheese, staff happily changed the salad for peas. Cleared the plate, it was really delicious. They also serve cask ale. The staff were brilliant and helpful throughout. Only thing I would say is the car park is on a slope but that might be more about my parking ability :"

Just had an amazing take-away beef dinner it was so delicious, hot, fresh and huge portions!! I don’t normally bother leaving feedback or reviews but just thought this so warranted a ‘pat on the back’ Well done all at The Royal Oak!!

This is a lovely pub with a proper beer garden. The staff are amazing, super friendly and helpful. The food is great and they offer lots of choice including vegetarian and GF dishes. They are really part of the community organising lots of events. They...have a regular quiz night and open mic night. Also dog friendly!

Just wow! What a lovely warm cozy village pub. Thursday evening myself children and parents booked a table for a birthday meal, it was perfect, food was beautiful real home cooked food. Lovely Atmosphere! We were welcomed by a lovely lady who was no...other than brilliant with my children especially Dylan my eldest who has autism, Her approach and manner was quite frankly magic (sorry didn’t catch her name) Tall dark haired Needless to say we will be back very soon

For years I have loved the lasagne at the oak but when I went today the lasagne wasn’t the same. It was really watery and had no substance do it at all. It wasn’t like it used to be and it was so disappointing. My...Diet Coke also tasted funny which I mentioned. They changed this to a lemonade no problem so that was good! They also don’t serve lumpy bumpy cake anymore which I used to love. The things I loved about the oak most lasagne and lumpy bumpy aren’t there anymore or aren’t what they used to be so I won’t be returning again much to my disappointment
