"This cafe/restaurant was very nice place to eat and drink. They were very busy and the two young ladies were rushed off there feet. We ordered cappuccinos to start, then we ordered food the weather was lovely so we sat outside. We had bacon...brie and cranberry baguette with salad and prawn with Mary Rose sauce with salad they looked and tasted very nice. The toilets were also very clean when paying we gave the lady that had served us a tip as well for being so hospitable when we are back in the area we will definitely eat and drink here again as we are not local to the area, all they way from the Isle of wight"

Walking around Frome we fancied a brunch. Saw The Settle, went inside. Friendly atmosphere, good service and great food. Good value too. Highly recommended.

Highly recommend the crumpets with cheese and chutney, it was very tasty.. a lovely homemade chutney. My husband had a chocolate brownie cheesecake which he said was delicious. Felt Very covid safe. We Would definitely visit again

In the years that we have lived near FROME The Settle has been somewhere that has produced excellent food and reliable service. They are consistent with their opening hours, days a week. In this area that has not been the norm in recent...times. Thank you.

An excellent tea shop in the centre of Frome. Even in mid November it was busy but the tea and pastries we had were really good and the service was exactly how you want service at a proper Tea shop. Friendly, polite, and not overbearing....I will be back and would make a detour to come here.

I’ve always wanted to come since watching Keith Floyd in the early He filmed a few episodes here which the staff were happy to talk about and the bakers next door too. We only had sandwiches and coffee but was lovely to sit and...remember his programs. Lovely staff, great food. Well worth a visit in this beautiful town.

Maybe just an unfortunate experience but has to be one of the worst lunches I have ever had. Ordered a roasted Vegetable and Hummus baguette. The bread was stale and had been toasted beyond edible, the roasted vegetables were cooked to mush and the hummus...was runny. None of the staff checked in on how the meal was and in a party of friends in lots of conversation so mentioned it quietly and politely to staff at the end. No offer of a refund but did receive an apology.

The Settle was busy on a week day lunchtime. Inside, the tables are reasonably spaced out. We enjoyed a friendly welcome and good service throughout. From the wide range of food on offer I chose black pudding salad – a ‘Settle Favourite’ and my wife...the mozzarella and tomato panini. They were good but not outstanding. The highlight for me was the dressing on my salad of cucumber and rocket. I was told that it’s the chef’s own creation of balsamic with chive oil: wonderful!

Like so many catering businesses at the moment (post Covid) this lovely little cafe was short staffed when we visited. For this reason, they could only offer cakes and drinks, which were very nice. The young lady, who was on her own, was extremely busy...but nothing was too much trouble for her. My Mum preferred something savoury, so the young lady offered her a cheese crumpet, which fitted the bill perfectly. When it came it was delicious! We will just have to visit again next time we are in Somerset.
