"Been a while since I wrote a review but I just had to do this one.I went on a coach trip with 43 other lunch goers. This booking was made a while ago. This pub is in its 4th generation of owners, believe me, there won't be a 5th.We arrived. Put into separate parts of the pub. The heated side had 2 large reservations for god knows who. So some of us were shoved into another part. 1. No heating as such. The owner said that there was a heater in the room. The room was approximately 16' by 30'The said heater threw out heat for about a 6 inch radius. We pre booked our meals. Roast Pork or Chicken. 2, the food was tepid. The plates Stone cold. Staff could handle complaints about the cold food. Stuffing was practically raw and the so called roast potatoes were only in the oven for 20 minutes. They were cold and hard. I asked for my new potatoes to be changed for roast before I received my meal) I was told that the plates could not be changed in anyway. The manager finally came after our tour manager informed him of our concerns. I asked as they knew weeks ago about our booking, why was the heating not turned on in the morning. No answer. About the cold and under cooked food no answer. Very disappointed to say the least. Having been part of a catering family for many years, I can only say that they all need basic training. If the chef can turn out half cooked veg and plate food on cold plates i can't see them getting more return visits from customers."

Called in ad hoc on a Saturday night having been turned away from another pub nearby and we couldn’t of been made to feel more welcome. Lovely food and a really warm welcome for both ourselves and our dog. Will definitely be returning!

This is a handsome old stone pub in a dell below the road. We sat in the sun in the front garden which had attractive flower bed and enjoyed the lovely Cotswold views. The food looked good and we will use this as a stopping off point again.

We visited the Sherborne Arms on our travels of the Cotswolds great holiday! Food was fantastic, reasonably priced and the best we have had all eeek. The plumb crumble . Also a chilly lunch time but marquee heaters were toasty. We would thoroughly recommend.

A return visit for a pre-planned buffet lunch in the function room was everything we could anticipate. We were welcomed with the buffet all ready for us and friendly service by a most cheery waitress.Barman was equally freindly and efficient so we thoroughly enjoyed our meal.Thank you all for this.

Girlfriend and I stayed in Burford over night and looked for a place to go for pub lunch on Sunday, which is when we stumbled across the Sherborne Arms, what a place, lovely food, friendly staff, warm feeling as soon as you walk through the front door. If we lived closer would definitely be coming back. 10/10

I stopped by with a couple of friends after visiting RAF Fairford and originally planned to stop in Bibury, big mistake totally packed! But even from Essex I knew the area like the back of my hand as my late nan lived in Stroud, anyway I digress. I knew of the pub and decided to drop in with my friends. On arrival there's the usual one way system and you order at the entrance and it's table service. When your drinks are delivered you pay then. It's a pub which is on the beaten track (B4425) but can be found off the beaten track, and does have a village feel to it which is lovely. So, if you can't get into a pub in Bibury and are looking for a drink, give this pub a try.

We have driven past this pub many times on our way to Bibury and Cirencester and I don 't know why we haven 't called in before today. It 's a 'real ' pub serving good food at sensible prices unlike some pretentious establishments in the Cotswolds that serve very average food at very high prices. The cosy bar is very welcoming and the table for our group of 12 was in the adjoining dining area. Everything is spotlessly clean and there is a comprehensive menu to select from. My Thai Green Curry was excellent and I heard positive reactions from other members of our group. The young lady serving us was charming and very efficient. We will certainly return. Highly recommended!

Sunday lunch with family comprising 4 people. Arrived as booked at 12.30pm and we were seated immediately. Restaurant was not particularly busy at this time. Menus and drinks followed shortly afterwards. Good selection to choose from.Wait for food to arrive was reasonable at around 15 minutes. Two people chose the roast beef with trout and chicken and ham pie chosen by the other two. All were considered tasty and good value.Dessert menu was offered and choices made. Again, all met with approval. The steamed orange and lemon sponge in particular.Atmosphere became much busier later on but service did not suffer.Couple of points worthy of mention. The roast is restricted to one variant only per...

"I had been in this pub for a while, but my family and I were on the way from cheltenham to Westonbirt at 17 o'clock and called for an early dinner. all four of us said that the meal was faultless, we enjoyed all three courses and cannot praise this place enough. such a great atmosphere, cordial greeting from the incredibly fabulous staff and a seat directly at the log tariff. what more can they demand. it is easy to find, beautiful location and has plenty of parking right next to the pub. in summer there is a large garden back. in februar this is the place to eat when they go to visit the colesbourne snowdrop gardens that are right in front of the house and not to miss. the menu at the colesbourne inn is huge and offers for everyone something wonderful, regardless of their taste or nutrition to choose. my calamari ‘Bar Bite’ size starter was superb and definitiw a greater part than we expected. the other appetizers, a black bell and black pudding with fried egg was superb as well as the bread selection we also ordered. mostly fish Pie....only full of a lot of different fish and whistle fish. my son had the steak and ale pier he claimed he was the best he had eaten in a very long time. two of us had the nut roast dinner.... I want my Christmas dinner to be as good as that. desserts of fruit crumbs and custard finished the meal with the obligatory glass or two of fizz. for each device in these times to offer this incredible selection of oriented, which is an absolute credit for them by the most kind of employees ever and the very high standards they did. highly recommended at any level possible. well made the colesbourne inn"
