"Food here was great, staff were friendly enough, if you are over 6ft then watch your head on some of the light fittings, I left with a little gash on my forehead. One table we sat next to were really friendly and chatty the other was disgusted that we had children in a family restaurant and were really rude, this sadly spoiled our evening and apparently theirs as they wanted a quite evening out I think they picked the wrong establishment. but not a down side on the hungry horse"

Love this place, lovely food as always, not too busy at the time of visit. There is plenty of on-site parking. Kid-friendliness: If the weather is fine, lovely children's playarea without side seating. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5

I visited the Sloop at the beginning of December for dinner and drinks with friends. We had a fantastic night, the food was delicious and great value for money. The service was excellent special thanks to Sam, she couldn't do more for us. We will definitely be visiting again!

On arrival we were meet by a friendly bar tender who showed was to our table ordered on the which was really easy to do, drinks arrived fast. Food was brought to the table by a super lovely lady (dawn she deserves a bonus! and finally the food was amazing, my kids rated it 10/10.

omg the good portions are huge! I had a mini mixed grill and that was enough. I sat there where I tasted my way through her and only a few bits and no place for ice. the staff here is beautiful, friendly, helpful and polite; eating is just fabulous and a lot of it. there is a enclosed playground for young children.

It's value but that's all. We were a large group but they would not take our order at the table so we had to write it all down and go to the bar. About £150 for 12 meals with drinks so not bad price wise. I had a roast and it was good apart from instant mash and the green beans which were not nice. Who adds instant mash to a roast
