"Our server really tried her best, but we had to wait ages for our drinks, this happened last time we were there, and there were no customers at the bar. The starter arrived before the drinks, and the drinks order was taken on arrival. The rustic bread that we had to start was dry, and there wasn't enough oil balsamic to moisten it. We both wanted a roast dinner, which is why we came to the swan but to be honest we both found it very underwhelming. We had small pieces of beef, and the cabbage was hardly cooked. The one saving grace was the roast potatoes which were lovely"

Food good, service good. Tables close together and noisy table next door which ruined the ambience. A bit expensive we thought

Amazing venue, great staff and the food was to DIE for. Our second visit as a group and the time I’ve been there! will be booking a reunion for our cousin brunch shortly.Fantastic ambience even if we were the noisiest in the pub, the neighbours to our table were understanding and the staff ensured we had a great time

Great food and an ideal location that’s only just over to the to pop there for a nice lunch if having a stop on your journey. The only down side was that we went on a Wednesday lunchtime and there was only one waitress working, which meant she was quite stretched and we had to remind her of things we’d ordered when they were forgotten

We met two friends for a special lunch and we all had something different to eat and thoroughly enjoyed all four choices. The staff were very friendly and cheerful, they looked after us and the experience was very good. We would go back for sure and take other friends and family. We have been to the Swan a few times now and have never been disappointed View menu

My exwork colleagues and I had been looking for somewhere to lunch regularly where a tasty menu was available. The Swan has surpassed our expectations, and although we thought we would change the venue each time we met since coming here have had no reason to go elsewhere. My friend said it is a real find. We look forward to lunching there again and again. Highly recommended

The Swan is a nice buzzy gastropub and the staff are always friendly. The problem is their portion control is making this poor value for money. The meat platter for was just enough as a meal for and the staff acknowledged the issue and removed the from the bill. The main course portion sizes were equally sparse with one minute mushroom and tomato accompanying the steak. Fortunately the Rib Eye was excellent which went some way to make up for it

"Absolutely average restaurant. Dirty bamboo table mats and super dirty windows, kinda sad to look out of them. Impatient service, who under 6 minutes 5 times came back trying to pressure me to take my order. I was confused as I thought it was a restaurant not a fast food place. Silly me who used to live in Japan though the menu is just like there, with pictures. How wrong I was...So getting my phone to have a look at their website, what kinda different that in the restaurant menu card one. When I tried to ask for reconditions, I didn't get any, she just straight away took the last what I asked. The steamed algae was very nice, but my noodle soup was a big surprise, as I have no idea what's roasted (burned) pepper and massive chunks of onions doing there? It's supposed to be sea food, but instead just some burned vegetables scared with frozen octopus, mussels and mini calamari rings poured up with chicken broth. So yeah, kinda disappointing. Drink wise I asked the waitress do they have any tonic water as it isn't listed on the menu card, she looked at me like I am a weirdo. I asked for Roku gin what is my favourite. On the receipt was counted as an extra pound because Japanese. Lol, no comment. Getting the drinks, from other restaurants you get the spirit on the rocks in the glass and front of you they pouring the mixer drink from the mini bottle. Here not, just straight away together as it comes. Oh and don't bother asking without lemon, because you are getting one either way. So Akasaka restaurant did not become my favourite one. Once and last. Easily can be forgotten. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £20–30 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4"
