"As vegetarians, there's not much choice in Mallaig as a fishing town, but we ordered their veggie option the Broccoli, Carrot Coconut Curry with chips to takeaway and was very disappointed . It was literally just boiled veg with a watery curry-like drizzle with onion on top and chips were not the best either. We know they're quality is probably in the fij products but for £13 quid each it was a bit of a rip off for what we got. We would have been better off paying just for chips for £3 and curry sauce. Had we ordered this in the restaurant I would have asked for a refund and left. But it was the only dinner option left at 8pm on a Thursday. Veggies be warned!"

I don't know much about gluten, but they offer gluten-free bread at this restaurant.

Amazing experience . The customer service is just incredible, good vibes! And don’t forget the haddock. Best fish and chips I’ve ever eaten (in my experience)! Definitely a 5/5.

In this small restaurant right by the harbour we had delicious Cullen Skink. The mains were a bit pricey but this filled us up highly recommended. The staff were very friendly and professional too.

We had prebooked our table and when we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. We had travelled on The Jacobite Express so we needed a fairly swift lunch which is what we had, and it was delicious.

We were through in Mallaig off the Jacobite train and choses here for lunch. Cullen skink was delicious and the best fish and chips with homemade curry sauce ! Good view of the harbour and staff really friendly to all in restaurant.

We ate here in July 23 having come into town on the Harry Potter Express. Was it a mistake to choose one of the first restaurants we came to ? I was hoping for fresh juicy seafood straight out of the harbour and into the kitchen. Unfortunately the langostine were plentiful but rather dry and I suspect were not freshly cooked. The scallops were better but a little overcooked. Service was quick and friendly Later we discovered that other local restaurants had similar dishes for about £5 a plate less. So maybe they are better value.

Encouraged by nothing less than a stellar experience at other place we were dining the night before on our second trip to Mallaig (the Cabin) , we decided to give another place a try tonight, for our final evening meal on this trip. We decided on take away fish supper.... Big mistake. Huge. We are still shell-shocked by the £15 we had to pay each for a measly portion of a handful of chips and a small fish. The quality (def not fresh) and size of the food certainly didn't justify the astronomical charge for it. Save yourself a disappointing meal and choose elsewhere to dine!
