Magic great staff, good food, roaring fire defo go again and it's hour and half from home, drive there for a meal again.

Excellent pub, even better that it's just round the corner. Never a complaint about the food and the staff are always on form

This is lovely pub we have called for food before which has always been excellent. We stayed here for one night as a birthday treat in room 19 which has the hot tub, absolutely loved it room very nice and cosy, wished could have stayed longer.

we have booked the most tempting poor for our daughter exchange party and the level of the service was excellent. we grew up early on Sunday morning and the staff took all our decorations and set the room nice for us while we went to church. the buffet food was delicious and the staff was very helpful with everything we needed. would be highly recommended.

Oh my god. What a fantastic weekend away here. From arriving and getting all the free cake,to being shown are fantastic room 13.(the pics on the internet do not do it justice at all). To the fantastic private hot tub. Very swanky room with the biggest bed in the world. To the fantastic food and more importantly the fantastic staff. This defo is are fav place to go now. Will defo be booking again.

As always we had the most delicious meal at your restaurant.. it’s a beautiful building the style is perfect the decor is fabulous.. we’ve also stayed there in the past and the rooms are individual and stylish and fully equipped with everything you’d need.. ..very friendly staff at the bar and waiting on too nothing too much trouble .. Food absolutely excellent couldn’t fault anything ... we will be back again very soon. Thankyou very much x

we booked an overnight stay in a whirlpool suite for my other half birthday and none of us was disappointed! the room was beautiful, excellent view and the whirlpool was a real pleasure. that should die! the evening meal was 100% worth every penny and breakfast in the morning after was faultless. the personal was incredibly attentive and friendly. could not do for us anymore. we will definitely be back. keep them the great workers, they are a credit for themselves!

omg, what an amazing night away. we work with elders so that one night is like gold dust. we have the tempest poor whirlpool suite room (13th) wow. the room is immaculate. but they have of everything and the best part is private whirlpool. sat in with a glass wee on a full night wash luxuriant. to dinner. eating was amazing. faster service. the personal of the reception for the hotel was very professional and more than helpful. the breakfast was beautiful. I can't blame. will be booked again. feel like a new woman! x

I won a Facebook competition for a free night here in a whirlpool suite. it was amazing that eating was nice, especially the puppies in a sawn and stylton sauce! hubby had to begin deaf breast and then the bolton abbey lamb chops! he said it was the best thing he ever had. a cheeseboard and then weeping to follow! the service we received was fantastic! we felt very welcome and did not hurry when we asked for a delay in front of the cheeseboard. the whirlpool suite was amazing. we sat until late with the feenlicht up and relaxing. we're coming back. thanks to Veronica and martin
