"Some girl friends and I visited on Monday. We were welcomed to our table and promptly offered drinks. After pondering the menu and placing the order we were then told what we wanted wasn't available and had sold out. This would have been less frustrating if we'd been told what was out of stock before be bothered choosing. Unfortunately my friends first choice and second choice wasn't available. The same friend ordered a ciabatta and chips. It looked nice until the chips came out with a hair on them on closer inspection. My friend notified the waitress who although seemed pleasant didn't apologize. We had eaten our dinner and the replacement dish still hasn't arrived. We followed this up with the managed who found the new dish but again no apology from the waitress. My friends were from uni days and we hadn't seen each other for a while so wanted to make the most of our time and ordered a dessert. I ordered a mini brownie and tea. This was well below par in presentation. The size of the dessert wasn't the issue. It was served on what looked like a small saucer...I'd expect maybe a bit of icing dusting or a sprig of mint, but looked very bare..pic attached. It's a shame as I love the location of the pub and do usually enjoy visits its a shame this visit let them down."

We had a wonderful evening at the restaurant. Our server, Jimmy, was very pleasant, friendly, and attentive. The food, as usual, was fantastic. I highly recommend trying the slow cooked beef on the Sunday Lunch menu.

Amazing location. We always have a great time here! Supper club or Sunday roast this never disappoints. Staff are always friendly , and the food is delicious. Dog friendly too and it had a great little beer garden for when the weathers nice. Everyone we bring here loves it! Would highly recommend! View menu

Perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked Sea Bass+Scallops+Prawns Risotto. Possibly the best pub meal I've ever eaten. I could have been in Northern Italy. Service unobtrusively attentive. First time at this place. Enjoyed 2 pints of Abbot ale. 3 scoops of vanilla with Salted Caramel sauce to complete a memorable post covid evening. Well done the Tigers Head.

We had a lovely meal, there were 8 of us and they got our order perfect, considering 6 of us deviated from what was listed on the menu. The staff were fantastic, and Adam the magician who was visiting tables was very clever, and had us all amazed at his tricks. My friend had brilliant last night before returning to New Zealand. I book this pub regularly for evenings out with friends and highly recommend it.

I had such a wonderful night I was being served by a lady called Mai. The food was absolutely delicious and so was The wine. The pace was quite slow but that was lovely because we got to really enjoy our evening and have three hours ETA and drinking and relaxing. The food quality is really good, the service is even better. This is a Moscow pace phone English food experience. It was absolutely perfect thank you for a nice evening View menu

Went last evening with booked table after recommendation. Our friends regularly take their lovely doggie with them, but my first time. Were given a table next to the doors leading to the garden, good atmosphere. Service was slow, we did not mind as we enjoyed a great bottle of french wine. Girls serving us were friendly and polite. 4 of us went for different starters and mains- I had courgettes and peper stack, super green salad with halloumi, apart from halloumi being dry and cold I was pleased with my choices. Where my other half and our friends were not very satisfied if I have to be honest. Meat in their opinion was dry and chewy, where our friend ordered medium rare- received a well don...

If I could give 3.5 stars I would but settled for 4 as 3 is too low! A lovely pub with a nice atmosphere and interior. There was 8 of us and we had booked in advance, they gave us more than enough space which is nice as usually places will try to cram you on to tiny tables but not here. There was lots of items missing off the menu however it was quite late into the evening so not a problem. However was quite dissatisfied at the fact that one of the dishes was meant to come with onion rings and it was only when we asked where they were as they weren’t on the plate, the waitress went to check and informed us that they didn’t have any. They didn’t offer an alternative or even reduce the price o...

"A group of 28 of us from a retirement association descended on the restaurant for an evening meal. We have a programme of meals called Food Around the World, with the intention of introducing the association’s members to varied tastes and restaurants in the area that they may not normally consider. And so it was with the Lebanese. The organiser had eaten here twice before and, having enjoyed both times, hoped the experience would be good for others. None of the other twenty-seven attendees had visited the restaurant before, and from the positive comments there are at least six wanting to go back privately. To avoid undue choice and confusion we agreed with the proprietor to take the set menu offering, and that way give the attendees a varied ‘taste of the Lebanon’. Food was well received and after the various starters some thought the meal had finished the main grill and shawarma hadn’t even been served at that point, so most attendees did go home ‘stuffed’! We started at 6:30pm, and the group was clearly having an enjoyable time and it was difficult to get them away, with most staying until nigh 10pm a good sign. With 28 of us, we filled the restaurant, and to some extent that did make moving/serving in the restaurant a bit of challenge as the restaurant is cosy. Two minor negatives slightly different table configuration might have made the feel less cosy, but then it wouldn’t have been as social. The drinks service was slightly disjointed. Material issues. No! In summary, food was plentiful, tasty, well-cooked, not exorbitant prices and therefore well worth a visit.
