"Kennington £5.40 Amstel A traditional Kennington pub with bedroom and comedy club. The Tommyfield is located on a busy intersection on Kennington Lane and Kennington Road and is just five minutes walk from Kennington Metro Station. At first glance on the ground floor, this pub looks contemporary, but once you look up, you can see how majestic the architecture is. If you look at the top of the building, you can see the original name of the pub, The White Hart. This pub is named after a nineteenth century market that was home to Britain's first fish and chip shop. . The decor here is simple, but stylish. There are a few raised areas and a good size bar. There are many comfortable sofas and chairs for a comfortable pub experience. The selection of beer is simple and full of well-known favorites. I had a pint of Amstel, which was quite cheap, but was a little flat. The lady who served was very nice and gave a warm welcome. The menu is full of British classics with a good selection of hearty cakes. For pub comparison purposes here costs fish and chips £15, which is average London pub price. I visited at 4:00 on Saturday afternoon and the pub was quiet. Apart from me there was a couple with a chat in one of the window seats and some guests checked to stay up in the six bedroom hotel. This Kneipe Kennington also houses comedy nights by @alwaysbecomedy, which presents the best comedic valley around. Current actors are Jack Whitehall, Joel Dommett and James Acaster. There are many positives in this multifaceted pub. The beer and food are cheap and the comfortable surroundings make this pub a beautiful place to have a pint. Information correct to visit 24/09/22"

Disclaimer: I’m an American and not use to English foods. That being said, the meat pie was nothing short of AMAZING. The gravy with the meat pie was so darn good I’d put it on EVERYTHING I’d eat if I could.

Second time we have been for Sunday lunch, both times food and service have been great. Mya is a brilliant asset to the business, told us about different deals they have on each day of the week and best times to come etc, we will be trying the steak and wine night soon

Salbe Pub with great prices, friendly service and especially delicious homemade dishes. The fish cake special and the trout tars there was to die. For dessert, I recommend the banana cake. Shout to my beautiful servers Maya, Hector and Chapi. bonus points for the fab music playlist too.

Me, my mum and my sister all came here on 23rd June. We were from liverpool just on a trip. We had this lovely female waitress (I couldn’t catch her name) who gave us a great service and also kindly helped us navigate the busses in London. She is an asset and wholeheartedly the best waitress I’ve seen! Would definitely recommend the food too! No faults with the place whatsoever !

Just finishing up a 4 night stay at the Tommyfield, and it's been a great experience. Staff are lovely, the food and drink discount in the pub restaurant when you stay is handy (and the food is good! The room is cosy and has everything you need, and is cleaned and tidied daily. The Kennington Underground is about a 5 min walk away, so the whole of London is not far away. A perfect place for an affordable stay in London.

Stayed here for our first visit to London and couldn't have enjoyed it more. Tried my first G&T and Pimms and loved both, staff was absolutely fantastic and couldn't find anything wrong with any meal we had there. If I have any, relatively minor complaints, rooms are excellent but the mattress was a little too firm for me and a lift would be handy. Last thing, stayed during a amazing end of September and loved following the progress of the backyard neighbour renovate his back garden, turned out lovely!

This place has such a great Sunday roast! We’d been staying in Kennington and passed this place a few times as we thought it seemed quiet but talk about how wrong we were! We decided to try it out and we had the best time! We ordered the Roast Beef and the Roast Pork with all the trimmings and it was absolutely delicious! Could not fault the food at all! The staff were also so genuinely helpful and friendly which we all found so refreshing. Even though they appeared to be short staffed they all still served us with a smile! Would definitely come back and we obviously recommend the roast!!
