Cute pub with good food. The associated rooms are small, but have a feel-good flair. The location is super central.

The food was terrible. This pub has a problem, it smells bad. It's damp or blocked drains or some leak somewhere. Whatever it is it needs sorting. It's a real shame because the comedy club upstairs is excellent, but I'm very hesitant to even get a drink because of the smell.

Stayed here and it was a pleasant surprise: good value, warm and clean, nice big towels, good bed, coffee/tea in room and spacious! You get a separate coded-door entrance to the pub and the staff are friendly. On week-days there is a cafe 303 next door which does good breakfasts and coffee. Some rooms are on level 2 (lots of stairs) so if that is daunting ask for one of the level 1 rooms (probably less view).

Initially only visited for the upstairs comedy night (which was a blast) and then stayed for food. After an initial order issue with an in-training server, another lovely chap resolved everything. He went above and beyond with amending the mistake, with a generously discounted bill and even a couple of glasses of bubbly. Far beyond what was necessary! Made for a lovely valentines day.
