"On January 13th, 2024, my party of four (two couples) visited ICE restaurant at 12:30 pm. We were excited to try out this establishment after finding it online. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. The nachos for starters had a poor cheese sauce, soggy chips, and were only saved by the pulled pork. Our main courses - which included sirloin, an open steak sandwich, and two chicken burgers - were also subpar. The steak on the sandwich was undercooked, the sirloin was cold and poorly prepared, and one of the chicken burgers was served cold while the other had raw chicken meat. When we addressed these issues with the waitress, she argued about the color of the chicken meat in the burgers and reluctantly replaced them with similarly cold dishes. To top it off, the Eaton mess sundae was lacking in quality, with just one small meringue and frozen raspberries. We had high hopes for ICE but the food and service fell short, ultimately leaving us disappointed. Despite the nice atmosphere, we will not be returning. "I frequented the library coffee house every couple weeks with my family. The first time we went we ordered food and it was a complete rip off. Never again. We just stuck with coffee after that. Over £3 for bacon sandwiches with only 2 pieces of bacon and some average bread, too much butter too. Avocado smash which we were told had chilli and lemon in it only had lemon, and the smallest bit of sourdough. The cakes were fantastic, so delicious (I think they said they employ a baker who makes them in house? but not worth the £2.95 we paid for them. Nice for an occasional treat though. Tea was £2.50 for a small pot! We were told it was premium tea but even that is too much. We learned our lesson and only popped in for a coffee from then on. It was a lovely location and I always thought the staff there were just fantastic. The young lady with the accent, Canadian I think, was always so upbeat and friendly. She always made the experience memorable. And possibly one of the only things that kept us going so often. The only one I didn 't care for was the short blonde lady, we always felt from her that we were an inconvenience and we never felt welcome with her. Luckily we were not served by her often. The coffee, as I 've said, was always really nice and another thing we loved about the place. All that to say, we went to have a coffee at the library yesterday and they were shut!! Just a small notice on the doors saying the pop up has closed. I never knew it was a pop up! I 've spoken to a few people who agreed they 'd thought it was a permanent fixture. We last went in the first week of September and there was no mention of closing or anything. Very very disappointing!! It would have been nice to know it was shut as we went out of our way to get there this time and it was a complete waste of time. We will not be bothering to go to any of the other houses because quite honestly they weren 't worth the bother overall. Very very disappointing."

"We love the food at this pub so we came back again to have the pork belly, which when we had before was absolutely perfect, infact one of the best. Meat cooked to perfection and crispy fat/crackling. Unfortunately this time my partner was very disappointed...with his as the fat on the pork was very soft almost like it had been heated up in the microwave.I understand some pork dishes are fatty but this just wasn’t quite right. And because it was so good before we didn’t expect it to be so like this, working in hospitality myself I think it’s always good to give feedback good or bad, I did mention it but also being positive and saying my pie was just what I was craving, the manager did apologise and explain different chefs, different food quality, personally I think a little kind gesture like a coffee on the house is always a winner to get customers back if unhappy as food was poor quality, but the bill came at full price. No drink on the house or kind gesture . Feel like it was just shrugged off because I didn’t make a big enough fuss. The time before I was with a friend and fair enough it was a busy Monday lunch but we had to ask for the bill 3 times and a glass of water also 3 times. Service is hot and miss."

"my partner and I run an event company called tiger events east anglia. we built a few times in ravenwood hall and each time was great. the personal is polite and helpful, we liaise well with each other for viewings of large garden games, light-up numbers, sweet cars etc. and the entire experience is stressless up to the service we refund from them. the area is beautiful and well maintained. definitely worth a look around when they are after a venue for a high-time, party or baby shower. we are familiar with the now set up and can advise which packages fit their function"

"The food is good, unfortunately the service was bad. The food was served, for five people. The last person came with the cutlery. This took five minutes. The food had been ready to be served for a while. As a result, the steak and fries were already cold. Indicating this meant that person received a new steak, before it arrived the others had already finished their food. The dessert was also left out too long, causing the ice cream to melt. All in all, the controls are not well coordinated. Because of this I wouldn't eat there again."
