"Came here yesterday 5/9/20) for a birthday treat, and after reading reviews we were really excited! However, the whole experience was pretty average and I for one, was quite disappointed... Food was nice but nothing too special, staff weren’t really that helpful and kept disappearing, they seemed very unsure of what they were doing and how to deliver customer service. Considering there was only 4 tables in when we went, they really should’ve been on the ball more.... Also, I opted for a peppermint tea as I’m caffeine intolerant, and it came in a horrible mug instead of a teacup and teapot, and we were never offered refills or even asked if we wanted anything else. I suppose the food is okay for the price £13.95 per afternoon tea) but I wouldn’t choose to come back here in a hurry. A few personal touches, better trained staff, and a bigger savoury selection/better selection of food would make this place a lot better."

I have visited this restaurant several times and have enjoyed each visit. The homemade fillings, especially the blue cheese, chilli, and ham, are delicious. They have a great variety of desserts, with different cakes offered every time I have been there. I would definitely recommend this place.

My sister and I visited The Vintage Tea Room after craving a nice sandwich .the staff were pleasant but the sandwiches were a real let down. Hoping for sliced chicken and a slice of decent bacon on thick cut bakery style bread, we were given a mixture chopped up chicken with small pieces of bacon combined with mayo I assume this was to make the filling go further . The bread was cheap supermarket bread. This place has the potential to be really lovely but I could have bought the same sandwich from Greggs.

We had heard of the Team Rooms but never realised it is situated in a row of shops on the edge of Oakengates, town that does not immediately make you think of tea rooms. However as soon as you walk through the door it is as if you have been transported into Alice in Wonderland territory. We opted for the afternoon tea which was a selection of beautiful sandwiches and cakes with unlimited tea or coffee. We couldn't finish the cakes and the staff boxed some up for us to take home. Service and food were excellent. Highly recommended and don't let the outside put you off!!

My dad and i have visited here for afternoon tea on many occasions. The staff are very polite and will do anything to help. For £9.95 each for afternoon tea, you get a choice of finger sandwiches, a choice of plain or fruit scone with clotted cream and jam, a choice of either 2 bite size pieces of cake or a slice (large! of any cake on display and a teapot full of tea which is refillable. All this served on and in bone china. If you don't manage it all, they will wrap it so you can take it home. The decor is pleasant and very chintzy as you would expect from a vintage teashop.

Warm welcome and friendly staff. When at table, the tablecloth was stained. Chair covers in need of a wash. We had pre ordered sandwich fillings, drinks and cakes. Not much choice for soft drinks (just 3). Tea and drinks came out but even though we had pre ordered, there was a very long wait for the food. When the food finally arrived the platters were doubled up and not individually served like other tables. Sandwiches were fresh and tasty but we had ordered all on brown bread. We received brown and white bread. Scones were nice but jam seemed a cheap brand. Mini desserts were mediocre. Wasn’t told what cheesecake of the day was. Had to ask after we had it. Victoria sponge was an oblong sha...

"we wanted to visit the midlands and family for the first time since Christmas and in the frame of the visit I decided that we would take my mother for a nice Sunday dinner. she lives in telford and I am not familiar with the contrary so that I am on tripadvisor for ideas. I mean, I was looking for restaurants in Telford and sorted by rating; clays of broseley was the best from the list and that was what I booked. it is about a minute drive from my mother place through a beautiful shropshire landscape. we arrived in broseley a little early and found a parking space right in front of the restaurant. we were invited to take place on the terrace while they opened and had some drinks. I had a fantastic homemade limonade with glittering water, my mother had a Rhabarb juice that was so delicious that we were strolling home with us and my wife had a very nice pot tee. we had booked a table that had been placed in the restaurant for us, but we were offered the table on the terrace for lunch, which we liked to accept as the weather was perfect. we all ordered from the midday card, which for two courses and for three courses was a fantastic bargain. I ordered salmon and hake meatcakes with delicate brokolli, spargas and a white wine sauce and my wife and mother both ordered the beef Sirloin roast dinner. I was so impressed with eating. honestly, this restaurant lives up to all reviews. the ingredients were fresh and tasty and not refined as they get some places. to dessert my mother and I both had the rhubarb and custard' and playful plate that rhubarb compott, gelee, vanilla cream and small mygues combined crazy. the perfect end for every afternoon. during the meal were the employees (I'm sorry to say that I didn't get their names) attentive and friendly. our month old sohn, henry, has a stinking cold and has teethed, so was not on his best behavior, but the staff was fantastic with him. They even went so far that they broke out one of their dogs, a beautiful, huge dog called barney, for henry's entertainment. to cover everything, and this is great for parents of small children, they had a full baby change unit, complete with diapers, wipes and unhappy bags! I can honestly say I've never seen this before. all in all, for three nets, two desserts and drinks, the bill came less than unnecessary to say, I intend to visit again when we are close. I really can't wait."
