"We stopped at this restaurant for a quick lunch on our way home after spending the summer in the area. Our family group, ranging from 6 to 10 people, has visited before and we have always had a great experience. Today was no different. There were only two of us, and we both ordered lasagne - one with chips and garlic bread, and the other with chips, garlic bread, and salad. The friendly lady behind the bar assured us it was no problem, and we sat in the bar area. The food arrived promptly and we were impressed. The lasagne was a generous portion and the chips were real and delicious. The lasagne itself was excellent - firm and not like the microwave meals commonly found in other nearby establishments. The salad could have been fresher, but it was still good and nicely presented. Overall, we had a satisfying lunch and enjoyed another visit to The Wagon, a welcoming countryside pub with a restaurant. They offer a selection of well-prepared pub food at reasonable prices, as well as a good pint. We will definitely continue to return when we are in the area, as we have never been disappointed."

Food took over an hour to be served, very plain and boring, there was also flies in the vinegar sat on the tables.

Great stop over for lunch and fantastic music from their jukebox. Would recommend to anyone and would return if in the area again.

This pub is a pleasant spot for those who enjoy dining with flies. I ordered the chicken, bacon, and leek dish in a cheese sauce. Unfortunately, the chicken was dry, the leeks were very chewy, and the cheese sauce was watery. I do not plan on returning. View menu

It’s been a while since we last had a Saturday morning breakfast here, but I can honestly say it’s still as tasty as it ever was. Would definitely recommend to anybody wanting a lovely filling breakfast to set themselves up for the day. We will definitely be going again.

Went to the Waggon and Horses at South Reston last night for my birthday meal. It was awful. I had Lasagne which was microwaved into the dish. The cheese on top was in one huge lump and the bottom was black and hard. I did manage to eat some of the middle. We did complain and was politely told she was very sorry but they had a new chef.!!! I’m not quite sure why she thought this explanation would make us feel better, but it certainly didn’t. We will not be returning, and we are local.

We enjoyed a delightful Sunday roast and desserts at this restaurant. The portions were generous and the service was excellent with plenty of staff available. Our food arrived quickly and was hot and fresh. The vegetable tray was a nice addition and there was a variety of options available. Despite the hot weather, everything was still enjoyable. It had been over 10 years since our last visit to this pub restaurant, but we were not disappointed. We plan on returning next year when we visit Louth again. View menu

Stopped here after a days travelling. The food was shocking! Children’s meals were chicken goujons and fish goujons but only had 2 very small thin pieces each. It was mainly a pile of chips. Each meal was just under £7! I had a burger that was very bland in flavour… cheap meat. My mums Bolognese had very little flavour. She had to coat it in salt and pepper to make it edible! Drinks overpriced too. A warm, cheap brand fruit shoot was £2.20 and was not chilled. They said my children couldn’t have a glass of cold milk? A very small half glass of lime cordial and soda was 1.30 Meal came to just under £50. I’ve had many meals for that price and this was substandard unfortunately. Decor needs upd...

We have used this public house in the past and again they did not disappoint us. This year we had our 6 month old grandson with us and they ensured there was a high chair for him. In the past we have eaten in the bar area, which has a lovely rustic feel, but it did not have enough room for the six of us. However, the restaurant provided an open air feel, whilst being indoors. Food wise we cannot fault it. The fish and chips (which they mark as BIG and it is) went down well as did grandma's ham, egg and chips. Grandma's day was made with the homemade rice pudding AND JAM!! The turkey ham and leek pie was a bit disappointing but was more than made up for by the cheesecake. All the desserts are...

"Booked stayed at this place very recently having read the excellent reviews. As a very level headed person, certainly not delusional I failed in trying to recognise or match the place based on any of the reviews posted on Booking.com The place, whilst very quaint appealing from the outside is in direct contrast to the inside! In reality, it 's very much in dire need of deep cleaning, redecorating and refurbishing. The food, not sure who prepared the meals in the reviews I read, but fail to see how it could be the same chef as the one that cooked ours! Our meals arrived no less than 40 minutes after ordering. The drinks to occupy us while we waited never did arrive when our meals finally arrived served (if slapping on the table warrants being called served three out of the five items that made up the meal were uncooked, cold unedible! The excuse given by the waitress, is far too busy and understaffed, yet despite not being able to fulfil the job paid for, they still take fee paying guests who are treated far less than second class citizens to the regular clientele supping at the bar! Far too busy but not enough to stop them from taking longer than necessary to laugh talking to the regulars! Needless to say, we ate at other places for the rest of our stay. DO NOT BE FOOLED, as we were by the reviews, which have stayed are extremely questionable indeed! If one is used to using hostels I can see this could be deemed as good, if not excellent accommodation. On the flip side, if one is used to hotels that are clean customer focused then this hotel (a grand name for nothing more than a public house with accommodation not a very good or pleasant one at that is not the one for you!!"
