now called broomgate cafe, good coffee, nice selection of cakes and light meal times. the employees are friendly and helpful and seem to take a interest in their customers.

Called into the Wallace tea rooms for a bite of lunch during a quick visit to Lanark. Fairly good menu and decided to go for the soup which was excellent, very tasty. Followed that up with coffee and home baked cake. The selection of cakes is terrific. Next time you are in Lanark you should definitely pop in. Recommended! View menu

Regularly visit through my work, staff are amazingly patient and friendly. Very food with people with learning disabilities, and an amazing variation of foods to cover all diets, gluten free, vegan etc.. All foods are fresh, and I've never had any complants on servive. The cakes r a must try; especially if the boss lady's made strawberry and vanilla scones!

From soups to baked spuds with scones in between The Broomgate Cafe is our go to lunch choice. Everyone is super friendly and helpful and the food is absolutely amazing. Personal favourites include their home made soup, and the cheese scones. Apparently the white chocolate and raspberry scones are also a must but I am never lucky enough or quick enough to get my mitts on one!

Hidden off the main road, Scottish Home Baking Awards winner 2013/ 2014, with impressive coverage in local and national papers. The Wallace Tea Rooms is large and spacious with disabled access and toilets with baby changing facilities, as well as the all important high chairs. A separate family room and additional drawing packs for children make for a more peaceful meal with young children. The cakes are unique and all baked on site, we simply had to get some to take home. The food was gorgeous and the staff were very personable and attentive. I will definitely return. View menu
