"For many years we’ve been meaning to eat at The Walpole, tantalised by its menu whenever we walk passed. It is only open at weekends and you have to book in advance. Last night we finally got our act together and reserved a table for three with our daughter. We were in for a very special night, starting with the Raspberry Martini and homebaked bread and ending with a delicious pudding of Siena cakes and chocolate truffles. All the courses are enormous and delicious. The sea bream with Parmesan risotto was truly tasty as was the home cooked Hollandaise sauce that accompanied the fresh Norfolk asparagus. The service was efficient, while being delivered with a warmth that left you believing you could just be in the chef’s front room."

Great food, reasonable prices, good service. This is a restaurant that changes from cafe to restaurant certain nights of the week. So always check it’s opening hours.

This place never fails to leave me stuffed and fit to burst! The food here is so good you can’t help but go in for one more mouthful, thank god you get a doggy bag to take away the food you don’t eat home with you. Don’t stop what you’re doing, love this place!

Looked at the Great Reviews many times and made my way there, however they are always seemed to be closed and NEVER answer their phone. Only wished I could try their food but looks like a part time or closed business that opens on seldom occasions. Perhaps the reviews are Not Real..?

I had a fantastic takeaway from The Walpole! The mushrooms were full of flavour, the risotto was delicious, and the sea bass was cooked perfectly. I'm saving the chocolate cake and coffee ice cream for dessert later. I can't wait for The Walpole to reopen after COVID-19, so I can try their full menu.

We can only reflect what the majority of other reviewers have said this is seriously good food served without pretence. How it should be done. Can't recommend enough to people who like (lots of) top notch food with soul. Came with friends and will return asap. Doggy bags are offered for those with smaller apetites. Service was fantastic too, warm and great fun.

I had dinner at The Walpole on a Saturday night with some old friends who come back to Ealing specifically for this restaurant. The cheese souffle was light and superb. The sirloin steak was the largest I have ever had and cooked perfectly to my liking. The restaurant doesn't have fancy decor, but serves honest and well-cooked food at a reasonable price. Overall, a great dining experience.

I revisited the Walpole after a gap of about 18 months. This time it was to celebrate my birthday. Our party of 9 were given a warm welcome by the owner. Being a few days after the new year break it was not busiest of nights. The paper table cloth was a great surface for the kids in the group to show off their artistic bent between courses. The restaurant remains one of Ealings best restaurants.

Really a fantastic meal with great service in a charming place with lovely atmosphere. Raspberry martini for first drink is highly recommend, onion bargi for start, partridge for main and bakewell tart with ice-cream to finish. Nothing to complain about, was excellent quality and generous portions Yummy! I get the sense the people who own the place have been in the business for years and they know exactly what they are doing and how to please their customers. Would highly recommend
