"Came across this place whilst out on a drive on Sunday. I'm always a bit nervous about going into new pubs, that I've never been in before. I needn't have been, lovely friendly staff, welcome atmosphere and a beautiful open fire. Sunday lunch was absolutely delicious. Chicken breast off the bone (yay, I hate meat on the bone) and it was, large and juicy. Vegetables were excellent, cooked to perfection and buttered stuffing balls, they were the best. My husband had the ribs, which he said were amazing. Puddings, treacle sponge and custard and bread and butter pudding with custard, great portions, soft, fluffy and absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend this place and even though we live near Loughborough, will definitely be back."

what a nice place to have meals and drinks. we had a nice Sunday roast for four with gins and a good pint of abbot. the personal is beautiful and the customer focuses on offering an excellent service with a smile. our meals were served with seasonal vegetables along with gravy.

Came here for a little gig performed by friends. This is a lovely little pub with a great, friendly atmosphere. Bar staff were attentive we were very quickly served. Locals were friendly chatty too. It was an 80 miles round trip for us so unfortunately we won't be becoming regulars.

My children and I went for Easter Sunday dinner last week and the whole experience was fabulous. We were greeted with a warm welcome by Ruby upon arrival and shown to our table. The ambience and surroundings were pleasant and the meal superb. The Beef Fillet is to die for (highly recommended) and my two children enjoyed their Roasts. My son then wanted a Chocolate Sundae which wasn’t on the menu, but the team produced not only one, but two as I liked the look of them as well. My daughter had a wonderful orange chocolate tart which was delightfully presented. I can’t praise this pub enough (pie night on a Thursday also highly recommended) . Keep up the excellent work, Mike, Marva and the whol...
