The staff is friendly, the service is excellent, and the food and drinks are top-notch. I have been a regular at this pub for the past five years, and they have always maintained consistent standards.

Food was cold . Took almost an hour for it to arrive . Very poor . Bar service was the best part of the experience. Don’t understand why it took so long for the food to arrive when the place is quiet .

I was invited to a quiz night with some friends, really entertaining quiz master and extremely informative and friendly staff, gerry looked after us all and told us about future events, we will be coming back. View menu

The restaurant has a lot of space, is clean, and has a Christmassy ambiance already. The prices for drinks and food are on the higher side, but that is to be expected in Amersham. The staff is friendly. I would definitely come back.

I came in on Sunday for dinner with friends and to watch the football. It was very busy and the staff handled it very well. A young lady, I believe her name was Gerri served us drinks with a smile and was very friendly. Food was good. Would definitely come back.

We were disappointed at the appearance of the pub, and the loud music as we entered did not appeal. However, the music was turned down when I asked and the food was excellent. We had a mixed starter which was very well cooked, followed by meat pie and fish and chips which could not be faulted. The Eton mess was good and the cheesecake was okay but a bit heavy on the coconut. The service was not fast, but we were very busy chatting, so not a problem. The soft drinks were not cheap, but the food was very reasonably priced.

The pub is a well presented, modern and comfortable facility with a good selection of beer, wine and spirits. The only thing that lets it down is the quality of the food. We were advised when we ordered that there would be a delay on the food, however our starters came quite quickly but the main courses took over an hour, which is excessive by any measure. Also, the quality of the food was quite poor with many elements of each dish dried out as if they had been held under heat-lamps for an excessive time. We will certainly re-visit but will not be eating again. It is a shame as we had great expectations of it being a good alternative local dining venue.

We booked a table of 9 to celebrate a birthday and were really disappointed. We came in and were pointed to two tables not together so had to push them together, no cutlery on table etc. We then waited for some time before having to go to the counter to ask if we could order, we were told they were on their own and could come and take the order if everyone was ready. Cutlery dropped in the middle of the table. We then waited 10-15 minutes for the drinks to arrive (it wasn’t busy in there) and were asked if we could distribute our own drinks out, one drink was forgotten and we had to go and order at the bar, the food arrived some of which was dry, and a lot luke warm, again a meal was forgott...
