"My family and I were quite disappointed with our lunch and the lack of customer service at The Windwhistle Inn. The food was extremely overpriced, with burnt and bland dishes. We were told there would be a carvery, but it wasn’t available. The customer service was lacking; there were no smiles or polite greetings, and no one bothered to ask us about our meal, which, frankly, was terrible! Although we were informed there would be a 25-minute wait, our food didn't arrive until over an hour later, and we received no updates or apologies during that time. In fact, other tables that arrived after us received their meals before we did. From what I’ve seen in other reviews, this pub has definitely changed ownership because the food didn't resemble the photos at all! This place has so much potential; it’s truly a shame and very disappointing."

Six of us had a wonderful evening. We enjoyed great food and drinks. Apart from two orders of lasagna, everyone tried something different. Thank you!

for a carousel to Mother's Day. beautiful atmosphere and eating was excellent. they also don't throw the Yorkshire puddings that seem to do some places.

I was very disappointed with the bartender. We had reserved a specific table, but someone else was seated there. The bartender didn't seem bothered by the situation. However, the food was quite good. View menu

Had a lovely carvery on Sunday with the family. 6 adults and 2 children. The food was lovely and hot, nicely presented and the staff were attentive and friendly. Lovely Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

It was a sunny day, and we sat outside in the garden, which was delightful. The food was excellent, with generous portions. Our meals arrived quickly and were served hot. The interior was clean, tidy, and welcoming. An added bonus is that it's dog-friendly!

If you visit during the week, it's quite pricey, but the breakfast menu on weekends and the carvery are very affordable. It's the best spot for both children and adults. Kid-friendliness: They have an excellent play area for kids. Wheelchair accessibility: Everything is on one level. Price per person: £20–30. Food quality: 5 stars. View menu

went for a carvary for the fisrt time and trust me it will be the last as the stuffing balls was like rocks, the yourshire pudding was ice cold so i took them back and they came over with some more straight from the oven, the meat was all fatty plus the plates was dirty. Staff members had no gloves on and helping themselfs to the food the bar staff was arragent Price per person: £10–20

Overpriced and plain and burnt Customer service was poor, no smiles or pleasantries, no one cared to ask how our meal was which was awful anyway! They said it was a 25 minute wait which is fine! But they came out with our food over an hour later. No updates at all, no apologies. Other tables who joined after us, received their food before us. Atmosphere was awful. Miserable staff. Horrible and burnt food. What can I recommend? Absolutely nothing, avoid this place!
