"Great little very busy rustic cafe. Very popular with walkers and local visitors to Silverdale. Excellent home made cakes, scones and some hot dishes. Excellent sausage and bacon ciabatta rolls. We have been coming to The Wolf House for years, Ed and his staff work very hard to present good food in what are very difficult times for the hospitality industry. Nothing will be cheap with the costs rising as they are and difficulty getting staff. Great outside areas with children’s play area for sunnier days. Very dog friendly which is a bonus in this area. Keep going we need good quality places to go instead of fast food chains."

Called in today mid walk and the Sweet Potato and Ginger soup served with a chunk of bread was delicious and just the ticket!

Left disappointed Cakes looked overcooked so left to go elsewhere. Nice little outside eating area for when its sunny. Suggestion for cheesecakes to be on offer as not much choice

The price of £31 for 3 sausage rolls, a slice of quiche, a side salad, a coke, and a coffee is outrageous. There was no menu available, likely because they didn't want to display the prices.

This restaurant is not as good as it used to be. The coffee was weak and tasted like water. The chef brought out the food after wiping his hands on his pants several times, which was unhygienic. I will not be coming back. View menu

Haven't been here for a while. I am afraid I don't like the picnic bench furniture in the cafe, its uncomfortable. And not conducive for older customers, very difficult for someone with a dicky hip to climb in and out of. Bring back chairs please. Also disappointed in my bacon ciabata, bacon very hard.

Lovely food but terrible service. Waited ages to get served with staff wandering around ignoring the long queue that was forming at the counter. Then took a while for our very simple order to arrive. Two young waitresses looked totally fed up. Also smallest menu I've ever seen in a cafe very limited choice. Very disappointing and not a patch on how this cafe used to be. View menu

I visited this restaurant twice in six weeks. The first time, I was disappointed by a dry scone, but I thought it was just a one-time occurrence. However, when I visited a second time with a different friend, she also found the scone to be dense and dry. It required a lot of butter to make it edible. I paid $12.50 for two hot drinks and two cakes, which was quite expensive. I do not plan on visiting this restaurant again anytime soon.

Called in for a coffee while out around Silverdale.Coffee's were well presented. My flat white coffee was far too strong ,as was my wife's oat milk latte (she left hers) ,I asked for more milk ,which the proprietor gave me without question ,it made it drinkable. We had a scone but they didn't have any jam ,which was fine it was very tasty .The cafe is very quirky ,but looked like it needed a good clean the bare wiring coming from the ceiling lights was a little concerning .Been in worse Cafe's ,but I don't think we would re visit.
