"The positives..... great friendly staff...well they were when we went! The food, well to be honest above average, but not very good!!! so good is the one I would pick. The food is most kinda certainly pub grub, with almost everything served with chips, peas and coleslaw!!!! The steaks, apart from the ones ordered rare, were all overcooked, especially the ones ordered medium rare, but then to be honest that happens in lots of places!!! No starters on offer, which is a shame. My meal which was a beef ale pie. Puff pastry topping) was to be honest very tasty....but would have been so much better if there was something other than chips!!!. So nice place, food was ok, price very reasonable, but unfortunately not good enough to take me back"

We spent 20 minutes travelling to this pub and we were in plenty of time for their lunchtime food orders at just before 1:40pm, however the barmaid refused to take a food order as she said her boss was upstairs. Their published serving times for lunch are 12-2pm Monday-Saturday, but obviously that didn’t apply today (Thursday)!

I decided to try out this pub after driving past it every day for work. The landlady was very friendly and the food was fantastic. I ordered the homemade steak and ale pie, which was delicious. For dessert, I had jam roly poly with custard - two big slices that left me feeling very full. The pub had a limited selection of lagers, but it is just a local village pub. Overall, I had a great experience and will definitely be back.

When we entered The Woolpack we were warmly greeted by Michaela who then served us our drinks and showed us to our table. There were 4 of us dining at lunchtime today and at least two of us are fussy (yes that would include the author of this review, namely me) however, Sophie, our server, was an absolute star she was extremely helpful and attentive throughout our visit and nothing was too much trouble for her. Our food arrived and was piping hot, delicious and plentiful. So a big thank you to The Woolpack for a lovely and entertaining afternoon.

Came here with the Mr, kids and mother in law for a Sunday roast a couple of weeks back. It's a local pub so thought we would try what was on offer. The roast dinner was very average. Reasonable selection of vegetables of which you can go back for more of. Meat was lacking in flavour a bit and no stuffing! OK if you can't be bothered to cook but I probably wouldn't return on a weekly basis for the roast. I am very fussy though and hate frozen reheated substitutes. What the pub lacks with the food it makes up for with good friendly and helpful staff and a nice atmosphere.

After visiting this pub restaurant today and arriving at 1:38pm, we were turned away because they stop serving food at 1:45pm. Even though it was still before 1:45pm, we were unable to place an order as the bar tender could not locate the owner, who does the cooking. Despite their advertised food service hours from noon to 2:00pm Monday to Saturday, they were not serving food today. We traveled 20 minutes based on the opening times we found on the internet, so we were disappointed to find out they were inaccurate. We have visited before, but after this experience, we will not be returning.

"My wife and I stayed here for a few days to celebrate my birthday. We chose Titchwell Manor due to its location on the A149. From here we can catch the Coasthopper up or down the coast. The bus stops are 100 metres outside the hotel. We were greeted in the car park and shown to our room behind the hotel. We had Basil number 21. It is a large comfortable room, with walk in shower and the fluffiest towels we have ever had. The room was very well heated and the bed was very comfy. Breakfast was served from a civilised 8am. The plate of fresh fruit was really good. If you choose to have you eggs poached they will be the most perfect you will ever have with their lovely orange yokes. The rest of the components were equally good and served with leaf tea or great coffee. The bars each had a lovely roaring log fire, where we enjoyed a drink before our meal. The menu choices we made were ham hock, brioche piccalilli and burnt apple purée followed by venison, Jerusalem artichoke and rainbow kale. The other choice was marinated beetroot, basil pesto and goats cheese cream followed by salt baked celeriac, sage and onion with crispy kale. Both meals were outstanding. The venison was very tender and the celeriac was outstanding. On the basis of this dish, a very under stated vegetable. Service was very good and served at a speed we dictated without the continual pestering we have experienced elsewhere. We will definitely come back here as the whole stay was a great experience."
