"I have just returned from a Valentines meal at the Mariners. I would just like to comment on the excellent table service from Tiguan, Excellent ambiance as always, you just can’t beat a open fire in a pub atmosphere. The food was superb and our...special dietary needs were fully met.I was really pleased that the chef prepared a few Fried Oysters for me, I could have eaten a bucket of them, they were the best I’ve ever eaten, just amazing. The whole meal was perfectly balanced. A huge big thank you to everyone at the Mariners that make this night very special for us both, a evening to remember, Huge thanks to Renee and all her staff. Looking forward to our next visit. Nick"

Honestly, the best Sunday roast I’ve ever had in a pub or restaurant. It’s a very tricky thing to do well, but the Mariners have nailed it. Lovely venue and great service too. Also—can’t beat their **** Mary.

Went for lunch today with my family. Food was incredible and service was fab. Warm and attentive. My children were happy with their food and the landlord landlady welcomed them which is important to us when we go out all together. Thank you The...Three Mariners! We will certainly be back!

Birthday meal absolutely 100% in all respects whether it be food or service atmosphere etc etc could not fault anything on my first visit to this restaurant we all had a good time and they nailed it but we knew they had a good reputation...and they did not disappoint and could teach many restaurants how to get it right so we will be returning View menu

Absolutely outstanding visit to The Three Mariners at Oare last night. We couldn’t have been more impressed with the quality of food, wine, service and price. As a group of big foodies who spend a fair amount of time trying out different restaurants and often...splashing out for the slightly finer side of dining we could not fault anything. The restaurant is cosy and warm, the outdoor area was beautifully lit up showing it would be a fabulous place to come for last Sunday lunches in the sun. We will certainly be returning.

have a family birthday here. there was an allergen menu available, and although there were more possibilities that my related has many allergies, found decisions. the staff was very friendly and was pleased to welcome our two doggien. eating was excellent .although the rhabarb splooge with the duck trumpet looked very strange, and not excessively appetit) and very favorable. the service was a bit slow, but since we had no hurry, it was no problem for us. we sat inside, but it has a wonderful opposite to sit outside and run around for youth. great parking also. very recommended and will return.

"Having been to the Phoenix several times and I believe, this to be my second average review of the food and service, you 'd think they would have taken heed, but clearly not. Firstly, like most top end restaurants in London, they are reserving the right to charge for no shows £20 per head). But, what they are also doing, which is very unfair, is charging you for cancellations within 24 hours of the booking at £10 per head. If one or more of our friends had fallen ill over night it 's the flu season at the moment), they would have been were forced to go for an expensive average Sunday lunch, whilst spreading their germs to the other diners. It also poses the question, what would some do if you book a table less than 24 hours like we did) and then decide to cancel? The excuse that orders for food have already been placed doesn 't really hold water. The Sunday menu forces you to order a minimum of 2 courses at £34 per head. Some of the top London restaurants are charging less for far more opulent Sunday roasts e.g. the Jugged Hare at the Barbican). The Sunday lunch served was simply very average and not value for money. Finally, why are the desserts here, always consistently so bad? I ordered a baked cheesecake and got cream squirted on a piece of cake. When I asked what I had been served, I was told it was chef 's interpretation of a cheesecake. The menu clearly stated baked cheesecake. Not even in my wildest dreams can you interpret a baked cheesecake as a piece of cake with creamed squirted on it! This was promptly returned and replaced with a vile chocolate tart, with pastry so hard I couldn 't cut into it without the fear of smashing the plate it was served on. The chocolate was over salted and the chantilly cream served with it unsweetened. Save your money, go elsewhere."
