"Clean, staff are really friendly and good. Nothing too much trouble. Good but basic pub grub' type restaurant. About a mile walk from town centre, so good location. Ample parking. Can't think of a negative. 2nd stay not as good. Paid for evening meal in advance only to be told on arrival no food until half 8 (after 7 hour drive). Had a real early start next day due to a funeral so wasn't able to eat. Gut on check in desk didn't even apologize. Why not contact us to advise in advance? Why bother with the advanced booking if you still can't manage even when you know dining numbers.... Really poor."

Stayed here to be close to my daughter who just moved to Sowerby. Excellent Premier Gasthof very clean and the receptionist friendly and professional. We didn't eat at the hotel, but the restaurant looked nice.

Rooms are clean, tidy with a modern feel and staff are welcoming. Haven’t had the food in the restaurant, however went in there for an evening drink and felt the prices were expensive for what they were. Over £4 for a 330ml bottle of beer I felt was a bit steep.

It was my first time in a Premier Inn hotel, but I was blown away. Very nice rooms, clean and net and like new. Super comfortable bed. Shower is not seperate. Breakfast was very good. The staff was very nice. Looking for a Premier Hotel for the next day on our trip! Good job!

Restaurant is hit and miss. Inexperienced staff. Not told that they had run out of pineapple when I ordered the gammon meal. No drinks menu to check range and prices. They still advertise a hawaiian burger which also contains pineapple Hotel is directly opposite an Aldi which no doubt sells loads of tinned pineapple One day it was a no bananas on breakfast choice, next day no yoghurt.

"We arrived here for a 2 night stay for a wedding (Fri sat night). PROS: Lynsey the manageress she 100% makes it so fabulous. Lovely, welcoming, looked after us brilliantly. Due to some staff shortages, she was doing what seemed like 10 jobs at once! We ate on one of the nights food was delicious! Great service tasty food. Breakfast was also spot on set us up brilliantly for the day ahead on the Saturday! The Willow room which we stayed in was fab ideal size, lovely cosy too! The whole 2 night stay was extremely reasonably priced the place itself has a great feel about it like a big cosy house! CONS: If you like total darkness, take an eye mask for sleeping as the rooms can get really bright from the early hours. Also, depending on the room, it’s on quite a busy road so can be quite nosy it would be worth having earplugs if you like a quiet surrounding. Due to staffing, the bar doesn’t stay open that late, so be mindful of this, they will however put drinks in your room if you can’t make it back in time for the bar closing. Taxis there are no local taxis, so arranging transport to the wedding we were attending was a nightmare which we didn’t account for! Luckily after 6 different phone calls, we managed to get sorted. The only gripe I had was the confusion over the bill if you decide to charge things to your room, the bills aren’t itemised so it’s difficult to keep track of what has been charged. There was some confusion on checkout over what we should shouldn’t have been charged for, so definitely choose to pay for any extras outright to avoid any confusion or uncertainty before check out. Other than that, it was one of the nicest, most personal stays we’ve had out in a long long time. This was mainly down to the Manageress Lynsey who is fabulous at her job really does make it feel like home makes you feel super welcomed relaxed. Thank you lynsey for really making a stay a one to remember."
