"The restaurant is in a fantastic location next to the canal basin. It was refreshing to see a separate menu for vegetarian, vegan, and fish options. We all decided to try the mushroom and ale pie, which was delicious, along with some vegetables from the carvery. The staff were attentive and made sure that our dietary needs were met, bringing mashed potatoes and cauliflower directly to our table since the carvery options were not suitable. The portions were generous and the prices were very reasonable. Overall, a great dining experience."

I am an absolute sucker for just a vegetable carvery so you can’t go wrong with a cheap toby carvery really. The foods just always alright, nothing special but it always hits the spot.

The menu offers a good variety of options for vegans, but be sure to request vegetables without butter. Unfortunately, there is a high risk of cross contamination as I observed the chef handling meat that ended up on the vegetables and other items.

Whenever I visit this restaurant, I always enjoy a delicious roast and my favorite dish is the vegan pie! I just wish they would label which parts of the roast are vegan, as I have to ask the staff every time (although they are more than happy to help, it can hold up the line and be a bit awkward).

We visited twice. The first time for lunch and the second time for an evening meal. We had lunchn outside in the sunshine and the views and food were great. For the evening meal we ate inside and were able to help ourselves to veg from the buffet. A place that is a carvery would not be our first choice but the food was good and there is plenty of space between tables so we thought it was really good.
