Warm, welcoming and welcoming trattoria. Everyone is very kind and super helpful. During our two-day stay in Palermo we almost always went there to eat because for us it was a guarantee as well as a place where we found an extraordinary welcome. Home-made trattoria outside the bedlam and nightlife of the historic center of Palermo, yet a stone's throw from the central Via Maqueda, it is located along the route of Via Judica, suggestive and quiet, not far from the Piazzetta dei Beati Paoli and the Mercato del boss. Excellent food: pasta and fish-based starters and of course good typical fish dishes. Paid very little for Palermo standards. Definitely honest and welcoming, therefore to be recommended. We went early on a Sunday evening and found they didn't open until 7.00 pm. We returned at 7.00 and were very pleased that we did. We were the only customers on a late November Sunday and thoroughly enjoyed our entire dining experience. There were some challenges with communication but it simply added to our enjoyment. We ordered beer and wine and two courses each. Service simply indicated that everything was being prepared fresh which suited us fine. Our waiter, Nicola, was a little tentative but once we showed him that we were friendly turned out to be delightful. Overall excellent food at a good price and friendly and attentive service. I have read that others consider it a tourist trap....
