"Booked in for Friday lunch at 1 o'clock. Nobody else was dining. Tables were adequately spaced and staff were appropriately attired. Ordered main course, a drink, then desserts for 3. Surprisingly a main course could not be ordered on it's own without paying for a starter or dessert. However, the menu was exceptional value and had a good choice. 2 sweet dishes were unavailable but were substituted with alternatives. Gammon, roast and mashed potatoes, 3 vegetables, and gravy all superb. Black Sheep beer delicious. Apple crumble with cinnamon, sultanas and custard excellent. Portion sizes for both courses were very large. Overall, a wonderful first meal out for four and a half months! Looking forward to our next visit with more of the family."

What a hidden little gem just off junction 29 of the M1 motorway. Fabulous meal at reasonable prices and fantastic service. Couldn’t fault anything about this place. We will definitely be returning. View menu

We had the Steak and Stilton salad and the lamb. Amazing food, really wanted to try the macaroni cheese bites but didn’t have enough room. The salad was just right steak cooked to perfection. We had a couple of cocktails and a lovely meal. We called last minute and they got us in.

We were taken here to have a carvery meal following a trip to Chatsworth House. We were warmly welcomed and proceeded to be presented with a good meal with a good selection of meats and vegetables. I had an Apple pie and custard for sweet and the Apple content was of a high standard.

Beautiful Fresh food. My chicken burger was to die for, I know that may sound over the top but I was blown away with how tasty it was, fresh white as white chicken seasoned in a light homemade batter. Triple cooked chips were delicious too. Highly recommend this place and all at at reasonable price for what you are getting. View menu

We usually meet here for a pre Christmas meal with our family. We pre-booked and we're surprised to be asked for £10 per head non refundable deposit. This seemed high compared to the cost of the seniors Christmas menu at £14.95! Reception was warm and welcoming and the place is very attractive with a nice fire burning. Our meals were served promptly and were very reasonable given the price. Servings were filling with plenty of vegetables and large portions of meat. Overall, very good value.

Hadn't been to twin oaks for a few year's. So we decided to go on a bank holiday Monday early evening. We were disappointed with the menu it was mainly typical pub grub we had expected a better menu. We had prawns for starter ..it was okay served with a wedge of dried bread. My wife and I followed up with braised rib of beef that was quite bland, lacked any seasoning (good portion size . We both had one drink but were never asked or able to ask for another! After waiting for the sweet menu for too long or even asking for the bill (it wasn't busy too! ...we gave up! We decided to pay at the reception. Waiter did not ask if food was okay nor did the lady when paying. We used to like food and s...
