"We were running late getting to Usk, so we phoned ahead. They kept the shop open for us!! Lovely staff, clearly 100% dedicated to excellent customer service, and excellent fish'n'chips. I used to work in a chippy many years ago (Fecci's in Tenby , and know what hard work it is! Would thoroughly recommend Usk Traditional Fish and Chips to anyone. (I'm told Fecci's is still excellent, too! What a great fist night to start our holiday! Thank you to all the staff we will definitely see you again soon!"

Cold food, undercooked batter, and scant portions in the cartons. This is such a shame as this is our local chippy. We won't be buying from hear again.

Friday afternoon treat turned disappointment. Chips and sausage in batter. Chips hard and Anaemic, batter thick and greasy. Staff unwelcoming. Won’t rush back.

Spot on. Cod chips, curry sauce with a cheeky jumbo sausage sneaked in. All cooked well. Generous potions. Nice staff. Just wish they'd open later, but that's Usk I guess.

The girls that served us couldn't be bothered very poor attitude. The chips were ok the fish had skin on thick, soggy and yellow tasteless batter. The battered sausage wasn't cooked enough. Certainly won't be back

To have nothing vegetarian on offer in 2022 is shocking. All options in Usk and surrounding areas are pretty poor and unimaginative anyway, but to not be bothered by not having anything to offer isn’t going to do the new owners well.

All around disappointing. I was passing at lunch time, the chips were chewy and cold, they must have been sat there a long time the batter on the sausage was thick and chewy. I’ve heard bad things about this place for years, it’s all true. Time to shape up Usk!

Portion of chips and fish and chips with mushy peas ordered. Fish and chips were fine but the mushy peas were a carton of a few non mushy peas and the rest thin liquid. It's not cheap for a small carton of peas, please get it right. Staff not too friendly either and hard to park nearby.

Absolutely excellent experience. I ordered two fish, one large chips and a carton of Irish curry, and everything was delicious. Fish were a very good price, and the lady who served me was very friendly, and very good at serving up food that is exactly as it should be. All nice and hot too, which my local chippy often fails at for some reason.
