"I am really surprised by the lower scores for this restaurant. Traveling abroad I tend to try Thai restaurants wherever I go and this was my second attempt in Cologne. It was much better than the first place I went which, interestingly enough, was ranked...significantly higher as a place to eat. Lai Thai 2 had excellent food and service. From the appetizers, to the main course, to the drinks.... everything was extremely good. We started with the shared appetizers which were all great, especially the fried spring rolls. (The sauce was very gelatin-like but was very tasty). I had a Thai soup and spicy salad which were perfect. My colleague had the crispy duck which I tried and it was as good as I have had anywhere. You should really try this place if you are looking for excellent Thai food!!!"

Thought we would give it a try as close to our hotel and it being our last night in Cologne i must say I wish we hadn't as the food was horrible and the restaurant not the cleanest it wasn't expensive but I would have...hoped for a lot better.

it was pretty late when we came to the restaurant. we ordered several appetizers and a main dish and asked to get all the dishes at once. we enjoyed the dinner very much. diversive aromas, fresh ingredients and friendly service. the image comes from the middle spicy, sweet acid garnels.

I arrived around 8pm at the hotel opposite of the resto. Went in for a quick dining experience. Ordered a main dish and a beer. Food came quick but no too fast. I enjoyed the dish. No frills just tasty as you expect. Price is...delivering value for money. Just be aware no credit cards accepted, ATM is opposite of the street. Good place for people in a hurry like myself.

early dinner after a long cycle trip. and over the street was the Japanese sushi restaurant quite busy. I didn't want to wait! this place, not so much. completely empty of what I could see, which is not a good indicator. a chance and honest was pretty good. started with spring rolls and then pad thai. tasty and simple enough. service was in order, would recommend this place if they have time to save.

This restaurant was across the road from our hotel, we were looking for somewhere to eat as a lot of places were closed at Easter weekend. One member of our group was reluctant to dine here as it was empty but once we sat down,...other groups started coming in. It is a nice restaurant with good food and service. Nothing amazing but I usually think Thai food is either bad or good and rarely exceptional.

Ate twice here during lunch since it's near my office location. Ambience is nice cozy. Lunch is standard Buffet with probably 8-10 selection (with rice or noodle) to choose from and cost EUR 11.10 with a drink inclusive. You will find mostly chicken cook...in various method, beef as well as 2-3 fried items. Don't expect complete authentic Thai food during lunch buffet. Was disappointed that the dishes are same for both days when visited. Will be nice to have few dishes swap alternate days. Not try on dinner menu so no comment. Overall food is not bad for an Asian Cooking Style restaurant.
