Wawin Chinese - Menu

Really big portions with nice taste. But it wasn't the biggest festive for my taste buds, just good nothing more.

The food was delivered promptly through Deliveroo. The restaurant offers a great variety of delicious vegan dishes. We always opt for this option when in York as the food is consistently top-notch.

Although it's quite nice, the price seems steep for the quality. The sides are costly too(£3.50 for a portion of noodles). There's not much to compare it to in fairness, we need more vegan Chinese options. View menu

If you've been craving the taste of a delicious Chow Mein since going vegan, look no further. The noodles at this restaurant are so good, they set the bar for any noodle dish I eat. Everything I've tried here has been amazing. I'm actually glad there isn't one in the North East of England, or I'd be spending all my money here.

I arrived at the hotel right on time from the van, and the food was still piping hot. I ordered the vegan meal for one, which included mock chicken and sweetcorn soup, spring rolls with a spicy dip, mock chicken in black bean sauce, white rice, and a side of curry sauce. Everything was delicious and I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of options available for vegans and vegetarians.

This is by far my favorite takeout place in Leeds. While I have my go-to dishes on the menu, I've tried almost everything they offer and have never been disappointed. The restaurant leans more towards British-Chinese cuisine, but they also have a section dedicated to traditional Chinese dishes like black fungus, Chinese leaves, and braised aubergine. Ordered Wawin for delivery. It was impossible to decide what to eat as the menu is so expansive. Almost everything is vegan, except for a small number of dishes (which are labelled with the non-vegan ingredient). I wish I lived in Leeds as I would order this food every week! The chicken drumsticks are fantastic, the satay was super flavourful and the hoisin duck pancakes are on point. Definitely recommend! They also have a selection of authentic dishes which I’ve never come across in a UK Chinese restaurant.

I have been to this restaurant three times this week already, and it's incredible. There are so many choices on the menu, and everything is vegetarian or vegan. The meat-style options also appear to be gluten-free, except for the v-prawns which is quite unique. The food is delicious and of high quality. It is a bit expensive to get it as takeout, but it's the normal restaurant price of £12 for a curry and side dish. It's worth paying a little extra to have Chinese food that is not just tofu and vegetables! I have tried the soups as well as several curry dishes and I cannot recommend them enough.

Thoroughly enjoyed our takeaway from Wawin. We ordered via uber eats and had the vegan chicken satay and homemade style tofu with rice and vegan noodles. My word... the satay was absolutely delicious with the texture of the chicken simply superb and the depth of spice and flavour spot on. The tofu dish was also flavoursome, with perfectly cooked tofu and it was great to have black fungus alongside some noodles again. Slight issue was just a tad too much oil. As we ordered via uber eats we also got £10 off, as an introductory offer so ordered the wawin deep fried combo as well.
