"Situated in a knitting shop that seems to model its prices after the inflated rates of Burberry, this café makes the best of a challenging situation, apparently lacking genuine cooks in the kitchen. In simpler terms, there are no actual chefs here. Nevertheless, the mushroom soup is both satisfying and straightforward. Unfortunately, the sandwich leaves much to be desired, seemingly lacking both flavor and substance, with scant amounts of shredded cheese and almost no coleslaw. The cakes look decent, but they taste like the kind we regret indulging in at roadside diners. The three-star rating is primarily due to the enthusiasm of the staff, who are truly delightful—but if only they could channel that energy into the kitchen, perhaps with the help of a Jamie Oliver or Delia Smith cookbook, we might see some real improvements."

Unfortunately we booked online and therefore we’re not made aware of the reduced menu. However, what we had was good and service was polite and friendly as always. Flat whites were very good !

The food was outstanding! I ordered the black pudding with a poached pear and egg salad, and it was absolutely delicious—I highly recommend it. My husband had the haddock goujons, and he said they were excellent as well.

very bad menu. obviously no matching chef since mid. the summer therefore offered tinted suppe or a prepared final dish, which means nothing like the eternal year when they have expressed themselves for the win. I would suggest that the work canteen is a better option for a decent meal.

The food, service and staff are amazing. Considering it was very busy, it went without a hitch, especially as the johnstones sale was on too. Compliments to Brett, the manager whom we noticed was great with his staff and worked even harder to keep it clean and tidy and ready for the next customers.

We visited Weavers for lunch, and the food was exceptional and a great value. The service was good, but after our meal, we had to wait a bit to get someone’s attention for coffee. Other tables were checked on, but we seemed to be overlooked. Despite this, we had a fantastic lunch—probably the best we’ve ever had. As regular customers, we will definitely return.

eat well, but service disjointed. understand it, it was busy, but good staff levels, seemed easy to be the organization. had reserved table and sits fast, but old before someone took our order. after our lunchtime, the waitress asked if everything is in order and if we wish something else. asked for a traybake, but she went and did other tasks, and that never came up, waited and went.

"Genuinely couldn't fault the experience. When I heard that the Drouthy had a new menu focusing more on a veggie and vegan base, I knew I had to give it a whirl. The starter of hot Smoked salmon with lemon creme fraiche and oatcakes was simple yet packed full of flavour. I could have easily have had 10 plates of that and been happy to give it 5 stars. My partner had the smoked duck and even though I have given up meat, I was salivating at the look of their dish. They assure me that it was as delicious as it looked. Served with lavender roasted potatoes (which I'm told were amazing and charred salsify. The mains were more than a match for the brilliant starters. If I could give one piece of advice, it would be get the beetroot risotto. Not being a massive fan of beetroot, I wasn't too sure about it. But the incredibly warm waiter (for my son's, I never got his name. I only hope he can forgive me if he reads this! assured me it was tasty. He was not wrong. Beautifully cooked vegan risotto with balsamic beetroot chunks, shiitake mushrooms and rocket, it was simply divine. WHEN I go back, I'll be hard pressed to go for anything else because it was so delicious. It was creamy, packed full of flavour and cooked absolutely perfectly. Just the right amount of bite, nowhere near being mush like you get in a lot of other places (who charge a lot more, by the way . Superb. The highest of compliments to the chef. I was so taken by my dish I forgot to ask how my partner's was until I had eaten all of mine. But their home made vegan tagliatelle had disappeared from the plate so it must have been amazing. I couldn't handle dessert so had a delicious ruby port (delaforce I think it was called , and I would also like to give credit to whoever came up with their wine list. It covered every single base and no-one could ever be disappointed. Finally, if you're ever in Elgin, please make sure this is one of your destinations. You will leave extremely happy."
