"Have eaten at White Haywood several times over the years and the last two visits in May this year were just as good. The barn where you eat is very old with high roof, stone walls, flag floors and a woodburning stove. Paulin and Phil also run the farm and we enjoy eating their home-reared beef and lamb. Service is friendly and prompt and the food is delicious, especially the steaks and lamb chops. Prices are very reasonable including the drinks. They also have a fish and chip night on Thursday's which you can either eat in or take away. OK so they are located a few miles from the towns but it is worthwhile making the effort to drive from Hay, Peterchurch etc to enjoy a fabulous meal and experience there. We got talking to people who were n the B and B in the barn conversion and they were very complimentary."

Booked a table for 6 for last Friday evening, really fantastic place to eat. Quality food, very well cooked, welcoming hosts, reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful night at White Haywood. The garlic mushrooms black pudding starters were delicious and the lamb pork main courses were fantastic. Our host was lovely we’ll definitely be back.

A truly family owned restaurant with very personal service. When we visited it was very quiet and we were served by the owners who told us much about the history of the place really fascinating. Food was excellent quality, lovely decor what more do you want?

We've been planning a visit for a while now and we'll be back. The lamb and the steaks were some of the best, produced on the farm. Great menu (super vegetarian options) and such welcoming hosts......don't wait....and the blackcurrant tart is well worth saving some room for. Brave and thank you!

We stayed here for a weekend in June to celebrate my son's 30th birthday as the other family members were staying in accommodation close by. We had a great time, rooms lovely and clean and owners so friendly. Our whole family enjoyed a sunday lunch and this was thoroughly enjoyed by all. thank you.

Superb beef pies and we consider ourselves experts as we have eaten so many. Secret ingredient but no additives.Perfection. What made our evening extra enjoyable was the hospitality which was so welcoming . I really cannot rate the overall experience highly enough. We will return as soon as we can but as we live in Surrey it won’t be next week.

We read a recommendation at the cottage we stayed in recently at Craswall, so thought we would sample a takeaway. The lamb and chicken curry are superb and produced on the farm. Pauline and Phil are very friendly and have worked hard to produce this excellent restaurant. The fish and chips are also very enjoyable and good value. Hope to visit again soon.

After making a reservation in advance, we had a lovely stroll to White Haywood Restaurant. They had a wonderful selection of homemade dishes, with many featuring their own or locally sourced meat. We had a delicious three-course meal, especially enjoying the beef pie. They also welcomed dogs, which was a plus for us and our Labrador. Thank you to Pauline for making us feel so welcome.

We visited this restaurant based on a recommendation from the guest book at the cottage we were staying in. We made a reservation in advance as suggested. It was an excellent meal and the farmer and his wife were very friendly and really enhanced the evening. Pauline cooks the food and my husband said it was the best steak he had tasted in years. We couldn't find any faults and left with smiles on our faces. If you have the opportunity, definitely give it a try.
