White Lion Delph - Menu

Just had a wonderful meal at the White Lion for Mrs ToddWarrior's birthday. The tapas was brilliant, especially the pig cheek mains. Good value and great wine! A proper Saddleworth gem.

Have been here a couple of times outside with our dog. Nice big beer garden with plenty of space, very friendly staff and nice food. We have had the tapas and pizza before and both were lovely

Me and my husband had the 2-course early bird which was served within about 10 minutes of ordering. It was piping hot, very tasty and excellent value for money. I live in the local area and am pleased that this pub is in walking distance...of my home.

beautiful small pub with a community atmosphere, friendly staff and extraordinary eating. great portions and good price for what they get. garlic mushrooms divine and comes in a suppen bowl, much more than expected! beer selection a bit limited is just bad word can I...say

the personal is really attentive. food proportions huge and good value for money. we were just little disappointed that the menu had changed, but not updated on the website. Maybe some areas too close to quite loud bar visitors, but more than possible to eat them...out the food was really delicious (the burger was bigger than the 23 year old son, as I already said, there was a lot of it so we asked to take a Doggy bag home.

We came here for a drink after going for a walk in the local area. It was a sunny afternoon which we were able to enjoy from the fairly large beer garden outside the garden had a relaxed atmosphere with nice views of the surrounding hills, it is also dog friendly which is a big plus for us. Fairly limited selection of drinks on tap but bottled options also available average prices with both pints coming in at just under a tenner. Inside, the pub maintains a retro feel which is quite small but cosy.

Home from home! Edit, April 2024. Had Tapas meal, Thursday evening. Greating and service as friendly as ever. Tapas menu list has a wide choice, and well designed layout with meat, fish, vege dishes segregated making choice easier. The usual favourites and a good variety of other interesting options. Dishes well presented and of good quality. My wife and I had seven dishes between us. We finished up with a doggy bag and no room for dessert. A substantial meal. Price very competitive. We will definitely be back for more.

I read reviews about the white lion before looking for good gluten-free breakfast options. I called the day before to ask about catering for coeliac, and it was so nice to be talked about my options, instead of the usual “we recommend. they find somewhere different”. Went here for Christmas dinner in 2019 and never been back! So after 40 mins of being squashed shoulder to shoulder in a corner and sat an 84 yr old man on a 3 legged bar stool our glasses arrived which were covered in dust,...red wine was chilled, 1/2 bitter was ordered, a pint of lager arrived then another 20 mins the so called starters arrived which the table of 7 couldn't stomach as was close to gruel. Mains turned up with burnt roasted veg and mushy roast along with leather meat. we kindly asked that we didn't even bother with desert and wanted the bill to leave.
