"You can adjust the spice level of each dish, choosing from mild, medium, hot, to very hot. The food is absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. There are also plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, with most of the curries easily adaptable to vegan diets. We enjoyed the tofu masala, aloo gobi, butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, and chicken korma, along with roti, peshwari naan, cheese naan, pilau rice, and masala chips. By the end of our meal, all the plates were empty! As a special treat, we were even offered free bubbly and cake to celebrate our farewell. This is undoubtedly the best Nepalese and Indian restaurant in Northern Ireland!"

Awesome place to eat in Bangor! We ordered non veg platter, fried lamb Momos in starters and Chicken Jholilo Masu, Garlic nan in main course. Food was great and so is the service! Definitely would love to be back to this place. Food Staff Ambience What else you need?

The food and service were excellent! The staff was not only friendly but also very knowledgeable about the menu. I visited on Wednesday night, and they had a special where you buy one main course and get two free, only having to pay for the sides. Fantastic deal! I will definitely be back!

Had a fantastic time at Yaks, went with sister and friend. The service from the staff who took an interest in making sure everything was up to standard, keeping the table clean and tidy. The food was delicious, plenty of tasty flavours and nice and warm. After the meal we were given a free drink each, I had a baileys with ice which just added to the evening, went home very happy with our evening there, i felt it was better than Chinese food. Will definitely call again

We opted for a takeaway, and Yak was highly recommended; it didn't disappoint! We had a mix of lamb and chicken Jholilo Masu, and it is exceptional! The chicken was incredibly moist, and the lamb was perfectly tender....next time we'll be sitting in to enjoy our dinner with a glass of wine, and the wonderful charm of the staff. Top marks from us. 05-Jan update. We went for a sit in meal, and the staff are so welcoming. The food was again exceptional. If you want to try something traditional, get yourself to Yak. I'll let the pictures talk for themselves.

Charming staff, pleasantly airy and cozy atmosphere, and a thoughtful approach to dining characterize this restaurant. The menu offers a great variety of options for those with coeliac disease or gluten intolerance. The food is beautifully presented, expertly cooked, and absolutely delicious, featuring high-quality ingredients. Portions are generous, and you can choose your desired level of spiciness—mild, medium, or extra hot. The restaurant has received well-deserved accolades and comes highly recommended! Plus, there's public parking available across the street, with free parking in the evening.

"Tl;dr this chef and this team are on their way to a Michelin star, so get a reservation while you can. We visited here Saturday 29, where we enjoyed the tasting menu by current chef John Hollywood. Their tasting menu is averagely priced, comparable to Dublin’s Bastible, with 6 courses actual, and plenty of wine. Aside from the setup, nothing else is average. The staff at Boat House are second to none. The atmosphere is similar to Hof van Cleve, with chirpy, witty staff happily serving customers and following the mood of the table. Their sommelier and wine pairing is particularly special, with each bottle subverting the trend, unexpected, but without compromising on quality (see: Bastible cannot figure out wine). Their sommelier is a wine nerd who’s happy to go into as much depth as you want, but you feed off the passion between courses, which is a really great dynamic between the staff and the table this is rare, usually only achieved at top star restaurants. I’ve never found this in the island of Ireland. The food itself is the perfect mix of foraged from land and sea, each dish testing and surprising you, but with some classics mixed in (beef Barolo your reward for trusting the chef). On the whole, the menu seems designed to subvert comfort you in equal measure, and succeeds with every course. You won’t find the same level of experimentation from many of the Italian tasting menus on the circuit, but that comes with the assurances of consistent quality and a journey that’ll never let you down, where subversive wine pairings inject a level of exciting chaos without risking the food. Between the atmosphere, staff, and chemistry at the table in the kitchen, a trip to Boat House can be held in the same regard as some of the world’s top Michelin star restaurants. They’re on the way. They have the ingredients, whether you know it or not. Better start those birthday reservations now."
