There was no music, let alone Christmas music playing. The food was mediocre at best, with the roasts being overcooked in the deep fryer and other issues as well. First time ever we tried the take away Christmas lunch, excellent, lots of beautiful turkey, all the veg you could eat cooked to perfection. Thank you to all the staff at Forge Valley .

The homemade pizza chips were delicious and we were warmly welcomed. The prices were great and it was definitely worth venturing out on a cold January night. My partner also enjoyed their meal.

We are not local to the area but are staying here for a break. My husband and I and our dog have had Sunday lunch here for the last 2 Sundays. The food was delicious and freshly cooked. The staff made us very welcome as soon as we stepped in, and nothing was too much trouble.

We had a takeaway Christmas Lunch collected on Christmas Eve to reheat on Christmas day. It was brilliant. Everything fresh and cooked to perfection. The deserts were amazing and the finishing touches of mince pies and Christmas crackers was a lovely surprise. Definitely do it again next year as exceptional value.
