"Hello, sorry for I will have to write this in English. I just came from the bank and thought I can treat myself for something a little more expensive for lunch. Zala was just a few steps away, and I 've been looking for proper Asian food near my place of work/study. I just came back now from Zala and tried their lunch buffet. It is a REAL buffet where you can go back to the buffet table and eat to your heart 's content. Before I started eating (more of fressen, actually I even had to ask the waiter if I can go for returns. I got used to the Chinese 'buffet ' lunches I 've been to in Hamburg where you just fill a plate but only in one go. As to the taste of the food, I would give it an above average rating! It 's not at all hot (scharf as advertised, but that 's the way I like it. The restaurant 's ambience is also nice. They have hardwood table with carvings, and the warm tones of the wall makes up for the nippy cool weather outside. Their menu changes everyday, and for today, Friday, they have french fries(! , cauliflower (Blumenkohl , curry rice with some peas, baked pasta (like Bolognese , lamb curry and chicken curry. I think I went to the buffet table for the main dish three times. I feared they will charge me more, BUT, as I said, it is a real buffett. To top it all of, they have a complete course- salad, soup, main dish(es , and dessert- all for 6,90EUR! Maybe it is a bit expensive but I don 't plan to eat there everyday. But I started computing my expenses so I can afford to eat there once a week! Go there at around 12:15 when the buffet table is still fresh and the restaurant is still quite empty (there were only two of us for the first 30 minutes . This is my first qype comment and I 've never been so satisfied in Germany with this culinary discovery. Overall, it deserves five and a half stars, but I am only allowed to give it five."

we originally wanted to eat in barmbek. the reservation was transferred to wandsbek, as barmbek is renovated. the service was tried. the appetizer came after more than 1/2 std and then incomplete. everything tasted good. the frightening came on the toilet. the lower area is unattended and unclean. Wir sind mehr als enttäuscht von Zala. Nicht zuletzt, weil wir insgesamt mehr als 2 Stunden (ZWEI!!!!! auf unser Essen gewartet haben. Außerdem wäre es schön gewesen, vorher zu wissen, dass eine Portion Papadam Chips (Plural anscheinend nur etwas mehr ein halber Chip ist. Bei drei bestellten Portionen haben wir nämlich genau zwei Chips bekommen. Gleiches beim Roti. Als das Essen dann endlich ankam, wurde entgegen des Hinweises in der Bestellung sehr zur Freude des schlafenden Babys geklingelt. Wenigstens hat das Biryani mit Cashews mit einer Cashew ganz gut geschmeckt.

We ordered at 11:30 and asked for 12:30 delivery. We 're about 2,5km away from this location. It was snowing so we expected some delay but when I called at 12:45, the guy on the phone told me the driver left at 12:35. We were perplexed by this.
