"We arrived a bit late during a bike ride ,but the nice lady told us to sit in the beautiful courtyard full of olive trees and lemon trees and we felt we were in Tuscany .... We had snails as entree which were tasty with...an unusual sauce made of butter , rosemary and lemon .The best were the liver dumplings which are a specialty of the Palatinate ,but these were the best we have ever tasted : soft and full of flavour served on a bed of perfect sauerkraut. The homemade spätzle to die for as al dente and served with a chanterelle and cream sauce .Their wines very good too and all very cheap. Everything served with a big smile !"

"Wir sind an einem Freitagabend rein zufällig in der Dorfschänke gelandet, weil die uns empfohlenen beiden anderen Restaurants im alten Stadtteil Seebach bis auf den letzten Platz gefüllt waren. Und wir sind froh, bei Herrn Maurer und seiner Ehefrau gelandet zu sein. Hier kocht die Chefin, bedient und metzgert der Chef. Er bereitet nicht nur Fleisch und Wurst selbst vor sondern überrascht auch mit handgemachter Pasta.Ehrliche Handarbeit in der Vorbereitung der Speisen, klasse Umsetzung und launige Bedienung lassen den Abend kurzweilig vergehen. Das Essen wäre einfach grandios. Die Mischung der Karte ist vorzüglich umgesetzt. Wir hatten den Antipastiteller mit einer großartig abgestimmte Vinegrete. Das Cordon Bleu verdiente ebenso nur Bestnoten wie der pfälzische Teller, von dem ich auch noch genießen konnte, weil meine Frau nicht alles schaffte. Gute Weinauswahl - vor allem stimmt hier auch das Preisleistungsverhältnis. Egal wo man in Bad Dürkheim nächtigt, der Weg hinaus lohnt sich. Klar muss man - wenn es voller ist - Wartezeiten hinnehmen, weil die Chefin ganz allein in der Küche steht. Aber wenn ich essen gehe bringe ich Zeit mit und schaue nicht auf die Minute. Für uns mit das Beste, was wir seit langem außerhalb genossen haben. Und wir gehen gerne sehr gut essen! Danke an die beiden Inhaber!"

"Das Restaurant ist klein, aber fein. (Tischreservierung empfohlen) Das Essen ist sehr lecker, die Portionen ordentlich und man kann in die Küche hineinschauen was einen Pluspunkt gibt. Einen Punkt ziehe ich wegen der Menge an Knoblauch die an den Speisen ist ab. Ich esse Knoblauch sehr, sehr gerne aber es könnte an den Speisen ein Mü weniger dran sein, es war für meinen Geschmack zuviel. Einen weiteren Punkt ziehe ich ab, da die Art der Speisekarte zwar originell ist, aber die Karten extrem abgegriffen sind. Da wären dringend neue fällig. Ansonsten alles in Ordnung, Service und Preis/Leistungsverhältnis stimmen."

"I had high hopes after reading the reviews but I was disappointed. The food, although healthy, is lacking in flavor. The menu reads more like a book, so it takes quite some time to figure out what to order. The menu describes healthy food for the body, yet there are serveral dishes with meat and fish which makes no sense. If one wants to eat healthy, animal products shouldn't be part of the diet as they cause disease. As a vegan, I had limited options as well. I ordered the band noodle pasta with vegetables. It was oily and lacked salt, garlic and flavor. The odd thing is, the dish had lots of herbs, but they had a muddled flavor profile that didn't present any bright or tasty flavors. The dish was also very brown and forgettable. I could have made that dish much better at home. The pasta and vegetables were properly cooked, however, although the veggies consisted of zucchini, celery, onion and mushrooms. Thats it!. The meal came quickly but it was very expensive for what you get. With the owners rude, unprofessional and narcissistic comments, I will never go back and don't recommend it either.
