"although I always scroll through reviews before I go to eat quite a lot, I always forget to leave them. I sat in a hotel in paddington, where I should go after an evening meal and started over some of the best meal I've ever had (sad I know.) now I remember the most tasty, **** dish that has ever touched these lump lips, zuzimos crayfish and smoked speck risotto! I always have my favourite place to eat when I'm on my way and that's what it's for plymouth. I actually use to live in the apartment directly above zuzimos, and due to a venerable student budget at the time when I never really ate in it. now, I took my family back in the night before my graduation in september and I regret not eating there earlier than I did! I write this review almost for a year, so they know it must have been on another level! the hosting was great, eating was phenomenal and I will fall next time on every case when I am on this wise. P.S., it's late!"

Absolutely amazing! Family friendly! Very welcoming staff, We enjoyed a lovely family meal and the owner even offered to make a meal suitable for my ten month old that wasn't on the menu and my son devoured it my 8 year old loved the chunky fish goujons chips. Looking forward to going back again.

once again the most fantastic service, atmosphere and eating. I love this place because the owners treat them like family and feed them like it their last meal we had a selection of tapas and chick and lamb tagines. man thinks lamb tagine is the absolute best! I love the lemon taste of the chicken! both are yum! thanks toozimo! View menu

"Visited on a busy Saturday evening. General impression is the restaurant is clean, well presented and evidently well liked for how many people were in the small dining area. A little noisy, particularly in the confined space beside the kitchen, when seated close beside a louder table. As the evening progressed, we felt quite cold not sure if the heating was on? Service from the staff was outstanding, very friendly, polite, attentive, but food was slow to arrive. We were a little perplexed by having the appetiser on the table before our starter/main order had been taken, so having to work around still having the menus. The smoked butter was very strong my partner liked it, it was too much for me. Both fish starters were good, with the mackerel our favourite. The main courses were OK. The lamb was fine, but served with lamb fat root veg meant the whole plate was very similar flavoured, and the green beans/salsa verde felt like an afterthought. The skate wing was nice, and the crispy capers were a new and pleasant experience. The desserts rescued the food for me the creme brulée was outstanding, and the chocolate special was very good, with exception of a slightly chewy meringue. I feel I'm being picky with my criticisms, but fig tree is definitely priced higher than other more standard fare restaurants in Plymouth where we have also had very good food."
